Since his debut at the Gwar B-Q this past summer, Blothar has taken the Scumdogs on a merciless tear across the country leaving no town unbludgeoned, no city intact, continuing to carve their savage history into the halls of legend. Luckily, he managed to take a moment from that bloody tirade to have a delightful chat with us here at Faygoluvers, and he was even kind enough to spare us!

FLH: Our understanding is that Oderus has still yet to be found, do you see yourself taking charge over Gwar for a while longer?

I, the Berserker Blóthar, am currently helping the band GWAR write new music. I am the band’s spiritual leader, but no one can really be “in charge” of GWAR. They are an elemental force something like wind, fire, or magic. GWAR is not led…GWAR simply…happens.

Your cover of Pet Shop Boys has been making the rounds, is Gwar planning on covering any Coldplay or will you be looking at writing some new original music soon?

As I mentioned, we are writing a collection of songs. Fuck Coldplay. I can say that with confidence. No rock band will ever touch upon the greatness of GWAR, though we may…”touch upon” other musical acts at will. Everything GWAR does is original. We introduced original sin, and thus, brought death to your world. Now that is part of the human experience. Yes, we will write some new music soon. And it will be as thunder in your ears. It will shake you to your very soul.

Is it true Vulvatrons boobs were banned in certain cities on tour and between the two of you have you put to rest who’s tits are the best?

I have a much better rack than Vulvatron. This is certain. And yes, in a few towns, where the local petty officials are dedicated to counting penises and waxing wangs, her tits were a problem. Boobies Banned! the headlines should read. Bohabs Boo as Boobs Banned by Bumbling Bureaucrats.

How receptive have bohabs been to yourself and Vulvatron so far?

Bohabs do not concern us. They need only be “receptive” of my multiwanged cock bag, right up their baboon asses! That said, I think Bohabs, the fans of GWAR who actually come to see the band, are relieved that what they see on stage is a GWAR show. It isn’t the same, and not only because Oderus isn’t there, it is different in many ways. But change is certain. Nothing remains the same. The absence of change is death. GWAR lives. And Vulvatron and Blóthar are part of that.

Not a lot of Bohabs are Juggalos but many Juggalos are Bohabs and when asked during their latest tour ICP seemed confident about Gwar and ICP attempting to Co-headline again since your bands devastating loss. How do you reconcile comments made about Juggalos and an ICP Tour with the almost surely Pulitzer worthy “thegreatsouthernbrainfart.com”?

GWAR will be GWAR. That is all we can be. Any one who is a fan of GWAR is asking for death. Bohabs and Juggalos are all humans, worthy only of contempt. They have in common that they are misunderstood, and that they identify with art, commerce and culture that many other humans look down upon. But fuck humans. I care not for the machinations of earthlings, be they clown or other wise. In fact, clowns are at least honest about what they are, which is more than can be said for most humans. If humans find identity and belonging through clowning around, more power to them. So I say to the clowns of renown; don’t frown, we are down and bound to browse around Clown Town looking for some brown and some mound to pound. How’s that sound?
