Brotha Lynch Hung announces departure from Strange Music

Last night on Facebook, I received a friend request from a Brothalynchhung Madesicc Muzicc.   Now I didn’t know if this was an imposter, a fan, or Brotha Lynch himself.  It turns out that he put a quick 6 second video up where he went live, so that confirmed to me that it was, in fact, Lynch himself.

Now BLH didn’t make a formal announcement or anything, but he did update his work history, which was pretty telling in itself.  Here are screen shots of what he posted:

According to this timeline anyways, he claims that he hasn’t been an artist on Strange for the last year-and-a-half.  There has been no official announcement by either Lynch or Strange that we’re aware of, but for now, you can look forward to Lynch’s new LP Kevlar which is set to drop soon!

I supported Lynch before Strange and will continue to do so after Strange. What’s important is that he do right by his fans and continue to put out quality music. I personally thought that the Mannibal Lector trilogy was the greatest set of horror rap concept albums since the first Six Joker’s Cards, and I hope that creative vision will endure as for Lynch as a fully independent artist.

Although it makes me wonder about the fate of the supposed Lynch/Prozak collaboration project that’s been discussed, not that anything ever materialized beyond talking.

Ain’t gonna lie, I loved his strange stuff but I can generally find a few songs on everything he puts out I will like. However the stuff he did with strange was the best.

Wonder if he won’t sign to MNE? That would be awesome. It would be a better fit than PSY, but you never know. I support ya BLH no matter where you go.

I respect artists like Kung Fu Vampire and Twisted Insane who have had opportunities to be on Strange and Paycjopathic but chose to do it themselves. It’s a much harder road but the legacy is being built. Fucka label
