Mushroomhead Teases New Singer; Confirms Tour is Still Happening [Updated with message from Stitch]

Update (3/9/18 @ 1:39 PM CST): Stitch from Mushroomhead just made a statement regarding the status of MRH after losing Jeffrey Nothing and Tommy Church from the lineup.  He expresses frustration with the social media age, fans forming opinions before knowing anywhere close to what happened behind the scenes, and promises new life for   It is as follows.

From Stitch’s Facebook:

Dear Fans:
When Roxy departed back in the 90’s people in the scene said “The band is over”
When Gravy was let go, you said “The band is over”.
When Pig Benis left, you said “the band is over”.
When Jmann left temporarily years ago, you all said “the band is over”.
When Waylon was FIRED and Jmann was back in the band, you all said “the band is over”
Now it’s 2018 and here we go again.

I know a lot of you are angry and confused on the latest news but this is not news to us, we were made aware that Jeff and Church were leaving and a plan was in motion to make a proper transition. They both decided to let the cat out of the bag on Facebook before a proper press release was made, this was not part of the plan discussed.
I’m not going to explain or air out the bands personal business and I’m not going to engage in any smearing of the 2 members that have recently departed.

I have been a MRH fan since 1994 and am honored to be a member of this band the last 17 years.
None of you know what happens behind the scenes or how people’s personalities and involvement in the band changes as years go on. Your assumptions and negative comments are quite disheartening, this is why I truly hate this social media era, everyone gets to judge you before you even have a chance to figure out what to say.

If I learned anything, it’s that Mushroomhead lives on no matter what and that is what we are doing right now.
If there is ever a day that I step down, it will still continue without me.
The replacements for both members have been in place for quite awile, the new singer was even endorsed by Mr. Nothing over a month ago.
Both of these gentlemen are long-time friends of mine, they are talented musicians and have been in the mosh pits at MRH concerts since 1996. They are huge fans of the band and are going to breathe new life into the band, carrying on its legacy into the next chapter. I’m very excited to be sharing the stage with them moving into the future.

I ask that you stay open-minded, every time something happens we come back stronger, the sky isn’t falling, the world is not over.
I will be very accessible on this tour and am looking forward to seeing familiar faces and having conversations with you all and not through Facebook.

“The War Machine marches on”

More on this as it develops.

Original Post: There’s not much more to say other than the headline. With the recent departures of both Jeffrey Nothing and Tommy Church, Mushroomhead fans were left wondering what was to become of the group.

Just a few hours after Church’s announcement, Mushroomhead put a video up titled “ThanXX for Nothing” which appears to spotlight an as-yet-unnamed singer.  You can see that below.

From Filthy’s Youtube:

The post from the Official Mushroomhead Facebook stated the following along with the video above:

Incoming transmission from Mushroomhead.
All shows and tour are still happening.

I’m sure we will hear more about the changes and tour in due time.  We’ll make sure to keep you posted!

When he’s singing the chorus to “Sun Doesn’t Rise” he’s got a really strong Patton feel to his voice.
