We’ve received a bunch of emails about the brand new Kottonmouth Kings album Kingdom Come. Unfortunately, it’s because those who pre-ordered it haven’t received their copies yet. Even though the official release date was April 20th, don’t start sweating if you haven’t received it just yet!
Late last night, a message was sent to those who ordered the album and/or pre-order bundles stating that due to overwhelming demand, they were running a little bit behind. Here’s the exact message:

Hello Kings and Kweens, We would like to thank everyone for the massive amount of support you have shown us on this project. Due to an unexpected and overwhelming amount of pre orders, it has taken us a few days to get everything packed and shipped out. We started sending orders on 4/20 with packages going out daily. We are independent and do all the work ourselves. Most pre orders are already in the mail on the way to you. We will be completely caught up on all orders by this coming Monday. Our team is working hard and will have tracking info up soon. We apologize for any delay. Thank you

I understand their struggle but they should know how to release music in 2018 better. Pre-orders should’ve been delivered before the album release date and the album should be on streaming services. Not even independent artists today keep it this “independent”. A lot of the older artists have it confused. It’s not all about physicals nowadays, it’s just about getting the music to the people and that’s why streaming is popular now.

Dloc recently said in an interview that KMK is no longer a fulltime career type deal now like it used to be, now its slightly more of a hobby for him and other members, he was quite candid in the interview saying the money he makes from his music doesnt pay his bills, he has another job that he focuses on more, growing bud (who woulda thought right). I agree that its retarded that they were posting preorders ON the release date, fuck were they thinking. Most older artists do know that CDs dont sell anymore, or barely, its just that dling is everywhere now so artists aren’t making money off newly released music anyway so might aswell put it on Spotify (which they get paid fuck all for) so the fans have it, you want to actually try and make a chunk of change off your new music? keep it strictly to CD, you’ll make more than streaming it.

^Very true. They would have gotten my $10 if I was able to download to my phone. I was in the 4/20 spirit at the time and was looking forward to the album’s release. After checking all last weekend to see if it was available to DL (or even stream for that matter), I gave up and haven’t thought about the record again until 4 days later when I’m seeing this article. Don’t really think I’m that interested anymore to be honest…
