It’s CON Time Texas Ninjas! Coming to you May 4th, 5th and 6th, it’s Texas Frightmare Weekend! Pulling in all the horror and gore you can handle in any month outside of October, and let me tell you they managed to stuff a whole month of horror into the 3 days! Panels, screenings, autograph signings, rare merch, people dressed up like they’re prepared to murder you in the most horrible and perverse ways imaginable…what’s not to love?

Arrow Video has done it again, bringing in many familiar faces ranging from cult icons to mainstream legends…and you bet your ass FLH will be there in full force covering all the goings-on!  I know what I’m looking forward to personally, but let me give you a taste of all the people you’ll encounter at the con.

We’ve got Mischa Barton for the first time at ANY convention, Matt Lillard from SCL Punk and 13 Ghosts, Ron Perlman for goodness sake (I don’t even need to name credits there), and “Pinhead” actor Doug Bradley on a panel of Cenobites that includes the legendary horror creator Clive Barker. Finally, I’ll get to ask him about a few of my favorite books!

Oh man, I almost trailed off on my own bullshit without telling you about the rest of the panels! Not only is there a Hellraiser Panel, we’ve got an “IT” panel with the kids from the blockbuster remake, a celebration of CHUCKY, a SAW panel with Jigsaw actor Tobin Bell, and so much more!

I wanna leave you something for yourself to find out but I can’t stop. There’s enough screenings to keep you busy all night every night of the con.  I’m talking about Evil Bong: 777, they’re doing a viewing of George A. Romero’s Walk of Fame Ceremony, Death Kiss, Deviant Behavior, Severin Films’ “Shocking Dark“, but most important to me on Sunday is the Fake Trailer Showcase. The Fake Trailer Showcase was one of my favorite parts last year, where amateur film-makers get to experiment and flex their skills in short form for our enjoyment.  If there’s one thing I love, it’s for underground artists to get to do their thing in front of a waiting audience. Why not be a part of it?!
