I don't wanna hear anything about "he says funny things sometimes" or "he's bad on purpose"...dude is garbage...I'll admit he was mildly amusing early on in his career (the D12 days) and has some select verses from back then that actually aren't too bad (even his first solo album had a few select songs where it sounded like he was actually putting in some effort)
however he is EASILY the biggest negative about L.A.R.S...their EP/mixtape and now full length album have to be some of the most uneven music I've ever heard...great production, Gordy usually going in with the verses and hooks...and then there's Bizarre...putting in little to no effort and sounding like a complete idiot...he weighs down so many tracks that would otherwise be pretty dope
Bizarre is also wack and a desperate attention seeker for going at Joe Budden for giving his opinion on Eminem's Revival album (he also attacked Tyler for having the nerve to say something Eminem put out wasn't great)...it's amusing considering Bizarre is currently signed with the guys who were involved in creating Slim Anus and especially considering Bizarre hasn't even spoken to Em in years (Bizarre's own words as well as Budden's)...
I'm not here to debate this...but if anyone has a Gordy-only version of the new LARS album (and the mixtape they put out) I'd love to get a copy

Tbh, I've never even listened through one of his songs in its entirety, I always skipped it, I'd need to listen to more to tell if they were worth a damn.
there IS the occasional song where he actually puts in a bit of effort...but that's like 1 outta every 20 songs MAYBE

Compare his verses in "Savage Life" and "Lit" by LARS. And you will probably say to yourself, "Yeah I get it. You like weed and percocet. I fuckin' get it. Anything else?" Gordy is for sure better. I will say though that Bizarre sounded good in "Roll up." He actually was trying to spit fast. When he puts effort in, he's alright.

I dunno...
He's... "amusing"... to me.
His YouTube vids have kinda "informed" me of his sense of humor. Not to mention D12 always referencing him in their own lyrics as being the "crazy mother fucker"... (literallly... mother. fucker.)
He caught my ear back on that "Purple Pills" track... although, admittedly... I was similarly 'lit' at the time.

oh by all means not ALL his verses are terrible...just the vast majority of them lol he had a couple that were okay on the new album but Gordy and the production clearly carried the project...didn't even care much for the Twiztid collab tbh...is Roll Up the song from the bonus Year of the Sword cd?...if so I agree he did his thing on there...one of the better LARS tracks if we're talking about both members...unless it's a money issue I just don't understand why Gordy isn't doing more solo stuff anymore...he dropped another collab project last year too with some guy I've never heard of

In some respect Bizarre's a bit like ICP to me. I like him, I like the humor and he has put out a lot of music that I dig (as well as a lot of shit that I can't stand. But it's like that with almost every rapper I listen to). But I can also understand why someone would not like him. If you expect the flow, rhymes and lyrics to be on point in the traditional sense, he's not for you. The same goes for ICP. They also aren't MC's in the sense that they have the ability to murder every beat you throw at them or have rhymes that make you go "holy shit". Some of their verses are just plain shit. But overall there's something to it. Something nobody else in hip hop is giving you. To me, Bizarre is like that as well (of course it doesn't go as deep, but still). It's a consistent style in that his flow and style go along with his persona. I appreciate the craziness of it and I actually thought the LARS project was a good showcase for him. Just Got Out The County is one of my favorite tracks from the album and he basically makes the song.

Lyrical he is not but than again I've enjoyed a host of others not lyricals. ICP, ODB, 2 LIVE CREW, a host of southern rappers, and all the new wave "mumble" rappers I like...if I'm in lyrical miracle mode I'll jam that, if I want gangsta I'll jam that, if I want etc. Etc!
Ill say Dude lucked out on the company he keeps and I eventually ended up enjoying a handful of his solo songs, the two D12 LPs, LARS, and his songs with Eminem, Tech, MNE roster...I focus on what I like and don't pay mind to what I don't like. The skip, pause, or remove from playlist/library option is a wonderful thing helps offset dwelling on it.

He doesn't bother me. Sure he raps about drugs all the time and rarely anything else, but at least he's funny with it. And he has a distinct flow that works with the kind of beats they use. Best flow ever? Nope. But it's adequate for something like this in my opinion.
As opposed to someone like Wiz Khalifa. He's a garbage-ass rapper with only one subject matter. No flow, no lyrics, beats suck, not funny, and he does that stupid laugh on every track. But millions of people are ok with that for whatever reason.
Biz over Wiz any day for me.

oh well I'm absolutely not gonna defend Wiz Khalifa lol I did used to be a fan of his earlier stuff but once he went fully mainstream he started getting lazy as shit with it...as for Bizarre it's not just that he's not the best rapper or doesn't have the best flow...I don't even find him amusing...maybe here and there he might have an okay line but mostly it's just the same attempt at shock rap...I will say he shouldn't have went at Joe Budden for critiquing Em's singles and tracklist for Revival when he's signed with the guys that helped make Slim Anus...Budden was sharing his opinion and Bizarre tried to latch on for the attention...like I said earlier though he has his moments where he isn't completely terrible and there were a few songs on his first album I did enjoy as well as some of his D12 verses but idk it's just not for me...I would have preferred a Gordy solo album over a collab with Bizarre...Gordy's just about as weird as Bizarre but at least has some talent

I wanted to talk about The LARS album in general, so I guess this is the thread to do it in.
You look the words right out of my mouth on the remarks about great production, and how Bizarre's contributions make almost every song feel uneven. Some of those songs are very high energy, and at times he doesn't just clash with Gordy, but with the tempo of the track itself. It's pretty jarring. With a normal rapper who starts his verse slow, you wait for his pace to kick up and start shredding the track. With Bizarre this moment never comes, but I don't consider him to be this album's only failing. Now for what I assume is going to be an unpopular opinion...
...there is hardly anything on this album that Gorilla Voltage didn't already accomplish with Ape-X, and they did it better. By that I mean, both that album and LARS are driven by mostly rowdy, energetic songs, but while the latter is plagued by that unevenness, the former applies a constant pressure that only builds in momentum. They don't remind you every five seconds that its rock star shit, they just fucking rock. The only wiggle room that I'll give it is that LARS' production was far superior.
It's good to see Gordy in a framework that allows him to stretch his legs more, but its mostly wasted on generic weed and thug shit, with a few tired-ass shock lines. That's not to say that his skill isn't on point, he just doesn't say anything really compelling. That's a shame because songs like Outlaw show that he can do good things with concepts. I get that this isn't 'muh horrorcore', but part of the reason The Davidians works as a horrorcore outfit is because Bizarre's backwoods retard shtick pairs well alongside Gordy's lyrical savagery. Here it's just two rappers of opposing caliber talking about whateverthefuck. The album would have benefited from features from Tech N9ne or the other members of D12.
There's things to like here though, specifically the humor. For all his lopsidedness, I still enjoy the stupid shit Bizarre says, and some of Gordy's punchlines had me chuckling. I can't say I wasn't entertained. Still, I didn't feel this one strong enough to spin it on a playlist.
