I know I'm talking to myself here but just finished listening and thought it was cool man! Really enjoyed it, looking forward to more! Glad they got someone like Lye on the label now man, really dig it! Hopefully they rep Big Hoodoo a bit more now and all collab as a label a bit more like the old days, that'd be cool!

I had expectations of hating this album, but it's surprisingly good
Lots of R&B style singing in the choruses
Who would've guessed Violent J made the worst intro
No Sleep, On My Way, Keep it 100, Mad Real, and Shut Em Down are all dope as fuck, great production and Lyte rips it
Ain't Like Us was just boring to me
1 In A Million was super lame and cheesy, the chorus completely doesn't match the verses, it's jarring as fuck
It's a psy rule that you gotta have some sappy dumb shit as a closer
FTTBBR is some of the worst, cringy Psy shit I've ever heard next to Dreams of Grandeur, Kikdoe, Empty, Spells, & Lost

you can like a project while still having critiques about it...I agree the Flint Tittie Bar song with ICP is probably one of the weaker cuts on here...they could have come up with a better but it's your typical silly collab track from them...not terrible (I still think Spells is one of the worst collabs they've done) but not a standout compared to the others where Lyte just goes the fuck in
as for J's intro I like it more than Clay's I think but Str8 Jacket had the best probably

So yeah...thoughts on the EP/album whatever...dope!...wasn't too impressed with Lyte before hearing this but he kinda blew me away...like that there's a diversity in the sound and types of songs (and considering it's a pretty short project imagine what they could do with a 15-16 track album)...worst song for me as I said above is probably the Tittie Bar song with ICP lol it's not horrible IMO but I feel like they could have put together a better collab and was more or less a goofy throwaway track...I do like how they rap along with the goofy beat loops though lol all in all they made a good decision linking up with Lyte and hope he sticks around and we hear more from him

I'm apt to agree. The production quality is just as strong as anything to be expected from MNE or Strange. I was expecting MGK-tier generic white chopper shit, but was pleasently surprised. His skill is undeniable. A bit to early to tell if I'm a full fledged fan, but I'll definitely be keeping a b eye on the boy.

I've only gotten to listen through once, but, I liked what I heard. As others have mentioned, there was a little more variety than I would have expected, did not expect him to sing at times but the shit sounded good. Was I hearing Sugar Slam in a track or 2 with female vocals or is that someone else? Anyway, Keep It 100 was my favorite and least favorite was that ICP collab. I think Lyte will do just fine. They just need to keep letting him be him, which they've done so far, and not force a character or anything like that.

Nah. I don't fuck with this shit at all. The beats are boring. His lyrics are well written but they're just like I'm so juggalo blah blah blah. Nothing interesting in them at all.
But I liked Blahzay and most of ya fucks hated her so what do I know.
If you really believed that all lives matter we wouldn't need to say black lives matter

Suga Slam sings on Keep it 100 and Blahzay Rose is singing on 1 in a Million
similar to Shaggy's FTFOMF where Suga was on Celebrate and Blahzay was on Seven Deadliest

I'll have to youtube it and give lyte a chance, but I highly doubt it compares to Mostasteless which falls into your debut album category.
I don't know if I'd say it's better than mostasteless, but it's on that level. It's hard to compare the two really cause 1) they're different styles and 2) there's a 20 year gap between the two.

my only suggestion to Lyte would be to shake it up even more on the debut album...he's already established he's got the speedy, chopper style down so I definitely wanna hear more of that but also would dig some laidback, more introspective songs mixed in and maybe even a storytelling joint or 2...would like to hear him work with Hoodoo and ABK on some shit (heard they already have been so...dope!) but also some non-Psychopathic artists...Lyte would sound great with guys like Tech and Rittz IMO (even if Travis is salty with Psychopathic right now lol)...a Twista collab would be legit too but since he's from Flint it'd be cool to get Dayton Family on a track as well
production is solid throughout
