A night full of sub-noize ratz and juggalos alike, a night full of avid music fans alike, and most of all a night full of KINGSPADE fans, enveloped on Saturday May 12, 2007. The city? Cleveland. The venue? Peabody’s. Who’s on the bill? That too rude man, The DogBoy, the Humboldt County Certified Dank Alumni, Potluck, those Front Line Veterans, The Subnoize Souljahs, and that High Rydin’ duo, KINGSPADE! Those high rydin’ anarchists with something on their mind, approached the stage on Saturday May 12, 2007 and left everyone drunk in the club. Some were so spaded, jaded, and faded that they were forced to revert to talking to the same ol’ bitchez with their tat shop talk.

All night, each act on the bill; Dog Boy, Potluck, and The Subnoize Souljahs (Big B & the Dirtball) were all at their own merchandise table slanging their goodies to the crowd full of juggalos and subnoize ratz from all around. Everyone, musicians, could be found in the crowd. All except for DJ Bobby B and D-Loc. From what I heard Loc was feeling under the weather and had only left the bus to do his set. This made no matter to the magnitude of freshness that blasted our ears right off our melons when Dog Boy hit the stage until Kingspade graciously stepped down.

First up was that international, too rude sound system, the Dog Boy. He was promoting his anticipated debut, Rebel Riddim, whil still spitting old songs that could get you caught onto his hooks that he’s laid down for Sub. Noize in years past. Singing the shirt off of his very body, that rude boy you and I both enjoy, started opening up can after can of beer or whatever handed to him onto this “bitch” who wouldn’t let the music be heard. Making comments like “Don’t grab it unless you wanna suck it!” or “Don’t make a promise you can’t keep bitch!” truly show why he’s the first to start and the last to drop.

After the Dog Boy those humble, Humboldt County heroes, Potluck stormed the stage with their flows of rockin’ shows and fuckin’ hoes while still blowin’ back chronic better than ‘Dro! 1Ton came out first kicking his verse preparing the crowd for Underrated to spin their nugbones in a 540-degree turn leaving them paralyzed from the tongue twisting skills that they can drop with the greatest of ease. Bringing the essence of that Humboldt County high everyone was lifted so far we were all in the sky. The Dank Alumni were in full affect letting us know exactly how much Hip Hop was in the building that night.

Once James and Joshua disappeared behind their smoke the lights hit, sirens rang out, and from behind a smoke screen emerged the Subnoize Souljahs; Big B and the Dirtball. Both kickin’ songs from solo hits while still Dropping Bombs these two put it down with a type of sound that hand any Subnoize rat/souljah proud to be in the crowd. With the Dirtball’s lyrics hitting every beat and Big B’s flows clowning on fools opened up a couple of eyes in attendance, and before the crowd knew it the Souljahs had vanished as quickly as they appeared.

Soon thereafter the lights turned out and trumpets blew for dayz! The dankest duo in the biz followed by Bobby B hit the stage with a Grand Entrance commanding the respect of their peers. So many songs to do in such little time, the group had spit, kicked, and hit so many debut songs from “KingSpade” while still hyping up their recent skull-cracking relase “PTB”. The club was crunk, bitches were drunk, and each time the bass would hit the ground would thump. Kingspade was in full affect. Halfway or so, through the set, Loc began to beat box, followed by Richter, then B put on a beat which they only stayed on, keeping the st “mad live!” from what I heard in the crowd. Kingspade as well as the Subnoize Tribe aren’t the type of group to be taken lightly or fucked with. Not only do they roll deep, pack lyrical heat, but their live performance will definitely sweep you off your feet. The only question I have now is; ” What happens now?” What the future holds? Nobody knows. But that’s the way in life, and that’s how it goes!
