Now before I begin to rant and rave about yet another off the wall show by the Kings I must digress. In no way, shape, or form should I promote the venue or any of it’s other hot spots that are all over the country. Of course if you’re from Cleveland or follow the tour dates then you already know what venue I am speaking of, The House of Blues. Now sure it seemed like it was the place to be that Monday night, and for the most part it was. Yet to be hired there for security you must have to an I.Q. that is at least classified “Fuckin’ Idiotic”. The reasons behind me taking this route of haterism or bashing is because the security working that night had claimed that my friend and I along with two other people we had never met before were smoking “joints” between the set changes. There’s two major problems with that situation.

1) How the fuck are you gonna go into the crowd at a Kottonmouth Kings show and expect to not find kids getting high?

2) How the fuck was I getting high if i had a bandana around my face all night and we were on the barricade? If I wanted to be smoking I would have made it very possible, yet found no reason to do so.

In closing, all-in-all FUCK THE HOUSE OF BLUES AND EAT A FAT DICK!

As the show was concerned it was tight yet simplistic. The only thing I seemed not to enjoy was that you could tell that the Kings have done nothing but non-stop touring and it was as if their whole set a was a routine almost with a couple Cloud Nine tracks mixed in there. What was great in its entirety was how simple it really was.

First off was The Dirtball. The chameleon flipping out his tongue to catch the listeners’ ear like a lizard would a fly. If you own a DB CD then I’m sure you already feel it more than most. I’m also really sure you would have heard something off that disc that would get you feet tapping definitely.

After the Dirtball was done tongue twisting the crowds noodles’ off that High Class White Trash Renegade Big B graced the stage to itch his butt and shake your hand right after saying “Nice ta meet ya!” Big B’s set was funny as hell, it’s not even so much the songs it’s really the presence that he brings, that Las Vegas essence of silicone tits and plastic money chips.

After both of these two schooled the crowd with a solo set they combined their forces to once again become The Subnoize Souljahs. When like that the two are almost on a level of Kingspade. They can for sure get the crowd moving, even though most of the crowd was a younger audience looking like it was their first show (ever). These three sets, even though they were the shit, I feel are kind of like a Boondox set, if you’ve seen it more than twice you can call out each song they would get ready to play. That’s just the way it is I guess and you take the good(seeing them live) with the bad(repetitive sets).

Like I said earlier, my friend and I had taken the boot before KMK hit the stage, but luckily for my ninja tactics I have eyes and ears everywhere and didn’t miss a minute of flava. Along with that previous statement I also said that you could definitely see the Kings had done some heavy touring in their hay-day. But then I sit there and think it’s the Kottonmouth Kings and realize it’s in the moment and how its positive vibrations in that moment of time. Their set was kicking, I’m not saying it wasn’t I just feel wrongfully cheated about that whole situation, which is why I’m not so enthused to be doing this one.

Just don’t look innocent or you’ll get tossed out for smoking weed. FUCK HOB!
