Heading out my door on the twenty minute walk to Seattle’s rock venue El Corazon was unlike any walk I have been on in the 8 months I have lived in the Northwest on the Sunday Twiztid rolled through. I wrote before that seeing ninjas around this city is rare, and this day was an exception. Juggalos were everywhere I looked on the entire walk there, parking far as hell away from the venue. I seen a Tech N9ne Killer van with Prozak chillin in it at a red light on the way too, so that was pretty dope. I showed up two hours early to avoid a line that was two blocks long when I got there to hear the security guys saying tickets were sold out. We had a pre-show and a comedy routine from a few drunks in the area before the show to start the night off properly. About 45 minutes after doors were supposed to open they let everybody in that could fit. By the time I got in there it was packed like a free crack giveaway. .

I asked some guy what he knew about The Moonshine Bandits, and his reply pretty much sums them up. Rehab meets Kid Rock. Country rap basically. I thought it would be dope to see so I fought my way up to about the second row. They were repetitive with their lyrics, but their production was good at least. The sound system they have at El Çorazon is one of the best I have seen at any venue, so they brought the skill that they had and earned enough respect to not get booed off, so typical opener I guess. I hope to see those guys bring something new to the scene because they seem like they have potential.

Next on the stage was Humbolt County’s Potluck. Last time I saw them perform was a tragedy since Underrated was sick and lost his voice, so I knew they were going to make it up to Seattle this time. The huge banner was unveiled underneath the last groups banner and the intro played. Underrated came out on the stage rapping his ass off, and after that verse 1Ton came out in true Potluck fashion and finished the track. The place lit up with screams as everybody was just so fucking amped to see a familiar group perform some classic tracks. They performed a lot of favorites. What We Are, Stoner Bitch, Funeral, Just Like You to name a few. If you haven’t copped their newest album Pipe Dreams I suggest getting to it!

They announced Prozak was up next, so I knew that was my cue to get backstage to get my first video interview crackin with Potluck, which you will see on FLH soon! I had a photo pass for the show, but it was limited to taking shots of Potluck, due to some record label business I don’t understand, but the photos will be posted shortly too. After all that, I had to deal with security fucking us over but I’m used to this shit by now. The interview is short and to the point, and afterwards off camera the duo exposed some secrets about their next tour, which will be sure to blow the wig clean off your fuckin skull when they announce it! I got back to the stage area literally the minute Prozak stepped off stage. I wish I could have seen what he had to bring to the tour, but I was just trying to focus on what Boondox had brought with him this time.

Boondox and Cletus, dressed as a priest, came out to the stage and started it off with They Pray With Snakes and the juggalos went insane! I was there at the 06 gathering when Boondox gave his first performance for the ninjas, and to this day I still don’t conceive how seriously huge this guy has become in that short time. People go fucking crazy for the Skarcrow gimmick, and I think he brings a new flavor to Psychopathic that definitely fits. If you’ve seen him more than once chances are you’ve seen this set, but what the fuck, who cares? At least its somebody from the hatchet going on before Twizzler, and it definitely is not a bad performance either.

The longest intermission of my life came afterwards. They brought out the huge black banners and blocked the stage off while they set up Twiztid’s props. People were getting anxious as it probably took about 25 minutes or so to set up. The wait was worth it. They dropped half of the curtain to expose Madrox standing still at a podium in the same outfit from the album cover drenched on red lights. The video screen played some crazy shit that was obviously made specifically for this tour. I must say I felt like the only person there who didn’t repeat the intro word for word after him. Monoxide’s curtain dropped a few seconds later and the light show began. This seriously looked like a juggalo version of a political rally. The album went into full effect and inspired every one of us to Wish We Could Kill Everyday. They played an alternate video for Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha somewhere in the set too, which I thought was sick as hell. The presidential address Twiztid gave this night was the best set I have ever seen them do too. Better than Hatchet Rising, Green Book Tour, The Mystery Show in 06, all 4 times I’ve seen them at the gatherings, and any other time I seen them live, still doesn’t compare to this set in my eyes. Twiztid had a really kickass approach to the theatrics of this tour, actually making a setting and mindset for the album onstage to add to the experience. This really felt like a rock show, but there were no instruments in sight. The bass was booming and the juggalos were getting violent on eachother for the entire set, which I’m sure you know was W.I.C.K.E.D. played from beginning to end, with the exception that they played Catch The Show before Woe Woe Woe. They asked if we wanted some old school shit, and most of us said yes, so they played Bussyoheadopen, which isn’t very old school in my book, but they properly wrapped the show up with Diemuthafuckadie, So High, & Renditions of Reality. I’m glad they wrapped it up properly with this track, and as usual cracked a fat joke about Madrox and left the stage.

I was almost trampled to death on the way out, even though I am big as fuck.

I’m going to have to disagree with Whipstick about this tour having ups and downs. It was all ups in my book out here on the west coast. Potluck and Twiztid killed it, and Moonshine Bandits and Boondox did decent sets. I just wish I could have caught the Prozak flavor too. This tour is ALMOST over so if your city is next in line start panhandling now so it doesn’t sell out before you get your ticket at the door!
