The props seem to keep coming for both Strange Music and Funk Volume! We’re not just talking about them receiving accolades in the underground, but rather the entire music industry! There’s an article that HipHopDX put out a few weeks back that we missed that talks about DIY Hip Hop, which shows love to 7 different independent labels doing it big in 2012 without the help of major labels! There is also mention of Top Dawg Entertainment, who may sound familiar because Jay Rock rolls with them.
