Vanilla Ice STILL on Psychopathic!

When you start talking about Vanilla Ice, ninjas always wonder what his status is with Psychopathic Records. I was happy to see today that he has confirmed that he IS, in fact, still a part of the label!  The album is moving along, and from his description of it, it will be extremely different than what Psychopathic is used to offering.  You can see the details that Ice put out on his twitter (@VanillaIce) earlier today:

they need to either just keep the artists they have or sign someone new instead of established artists who make one album which doesnt get promoted then leave

I agree with Destruct. It would be a different story if dudes like V-Ice and Big Hutch were signing with long term intentions so they could actually build along side the brand. I like everything they’ve been doing with Hutch so far but what sucks the most is that he’s more than likely going to dip after “The Psychopathic Assassin” instead of following up with another release. Granted, there’s always the politics and financial aspects that come into play I’m sure, but even looking at that, you’d think the artists jumpin on board would wanna marinate in our culture for a bit after putting the work in. Much love!
