Daniel Dahmer is a name I first came across when I was doing research for a interview I was conducting with CHOP SHOP. I had noticed TRE LB had done production for this cat with a crazy name so I decided to youtube/facebook this cat and I was not dissapointed. With a style that is similar to that of a Too Short mixed with Riff Raff , Daniel Dahmer is a hillarious rapper with a ridiculous amount of vintage clothing and regalia.
I wanted to learn more about Daniel Dahmer so after chatting with him a little bit I was able to discover that he is indeed the 16 year old nephew of Serial killer Jefferey Dahmer and was inspired by the musical stylings of NWA and 2 Live Crew. Daniel was raised in the outskirts of Detroit,MI and at the tender age of 8 began writing his raps and recording basement style karaoke tapes.
He has a fond admiration for Fanny packs which is showcased when you purchase his latest album, it comes in a fanny pack. His youtube videos have become a internet sensation and continue to gain more and more exposure and for good reasons. From Daniel’s raps about being a flasher in Wal-Mart to driving around picking up hookers the comedy element is there but as well a voice that you don’t mind listening to. Daniel Dahmer makes rap fun but in a vulgar and explicit way which is not a bad thing at all.
