ICP’s “Mighty Death Pop” makes the 40 most anticipated albums of the summer!

So the site Fuse.tv posted 2 articles today with mentions of ICP.  The first one is a list of the Top 40 most anticipated summer albums!  Guess what album made the list?  Well The Mighty Death Pop of course!  They were among artists such as 50 Cent, Justin Bieber, Smashing Pumpkins, and other mainstream artists. Were they nice about the description of ICP, or the album?  Take a huge guess.  Here’s what was said:

Insane Clown Posse, ‘Mighty Death Pop’ (August 14)

Look at these two—what’s not to be excited about? The sadistic Detroit duo are dropping three (!!!) new albums on August 14 via their Psychopathic Records, with the centerpiece being ‘Mighty Death Pop’ (which is a really great description for their music, actually). Expect classic ICP-isms, like lyrics about hatchet weilding and the brother(and sistah)hood of Juggalos. What about the other two releases? Well, ‘Freaky Tales’ is a 64-minute long rap inspired by Too Short, and ‘Covered, Smothered & Chunked’ features covers of songs by everyone from Christina Aguilera to Tears for Fears to Geto Boys.

Fuse also interviewed the band Jeff the Brotherhood, who were the musicians who played on the ICP/Jack White collaboration “Leck Mich Im Arsch”!  They were asked about the time they spent with ICP.  Here’s an excerpt from that article:

You have that absolutely bizarre collaboration produced by Jack White; that Mozart song “Leck Mich Im Arsch” as performed by Insane Clown Posse. How in hell did that come about?

Jamin: It wasn’t really our collaboration, we were just the backup musicians for Jack White, and Insane Clown Posse. We thought it would be a good story and a fun thing for a day.

What were ICP like?

Jake: Really nice dudes.

Jamin: Just normal dudes, they were really nice and excited. It was there first time working with a live band.

Did they wear the makeup?

Jake: No. They got wives and kids and stuff. They don’t wear the makeup.

Jamin: Shaggy has two twin teenage sons.

Jake: I thought it was daughters.

Jamin: I’m pretty sure it was sons. He just told me that, “I have f**king twins and they’re 14.” [Jake laughs]
