The totals are in, and as expected, 2Chainz has the #1 album in the country. I know you can give 2 shits about 2 Chainz, so here’s what you want to know. The Insane Clown Posse tied their all-time best chart position with The Amazing Jeckel Brothers, as well as Bang! Pow! Boom! at Number 4. They were bested by Rick Ross by only 2,000 units for the #3 spot. Here’s what was said at Billboard.com:

Rap duo Insane Clown Posse arrives at No. 4 with its latest studio effort, “Mighty Death Pop,” selling 41,000. That matches the act’s highest-rank on the chart, where both 2009’s “Bang! Pow! Boom!” and 1999’s “The Amazing Jeckel Brothers” both debuted and peaked. “Bang,” the pair’s last studio release, sold 50,000 in its first week.

Remember this is only the first week, granted I thought it would of at least debuted at #2 or #3 (2,000 copies shy of #3 isn’t that bad at all right now) but there’s still time for it to climb higher if Juggalos get behind the album and push a little more. Are these figures including sales at GOTJ though? Because technically it was released there early, so those sales went straight to pocket and might not even be counted on Sound Scan (which is what billboard charts go by). I know mad ninjas were hesitant to buy MDP but now that its out and people can see how quality of a release it actually is I wouldn’t be surprised if we see sales steady increasing while those ahead slowly decline.

pretty dope news…and yeah, 2chainz is freakin everywhere right now. He’s got a couple decent tracks, but its his publicity and the fact that he’s been on everyones mixtapes from Akon to i forget which one but one of the guys from My Funk Volume. So not really surprised he was number one, hopefully we can take that spot though.
