Juggalos! Juggalettes! I’m not dead yet…. or am I? It’s your boy BeZerk, and I’ve come back out of my crypt to give you a little bit of audio poisoning for your ear holes. You guys have something quite special in store for you this time, and you’re going to want to check this out.
Juggalos, social networking is an awful thing. I’ve been known to troll the book of faces quite often, and one day chilling on FuckBook, I was invited to a TinyChat. I don’t mind the TinyChat. Usually quite small and interesting to say the least. I get into this TC though, and meet our next UGS. Both he and I were sipping up, having a good time, and I learned more about AceTone and his music, his label, and etc. Dude was cool as shit. So cool he could be a savage.
Coming out of Tuscon, Arizona, Acetone has been doing music for about 9 years. First working with local Tuscon artists, Acetone has branched out more nationally, working with GrewSum, Ian Stone of Dark Half, and hopefully more soon. He’s been able to share the stage with the likes of Twisted Insane, King Gordy, Mars, D12, and many more. Acetone also has been known to do all his own graphics, as well as runs his own record label with 5 very dope artists.
Well juggalos, I mentioned in the previous UGS that I might be leaving after a few more UGS’s. As much as I still would like to leave; I cannot. Shortly after that, I was hit up with literally like 15 more interviews, and actually was on sight for another music video (which I’ll share with you all when it comes up). Juggalos, don’t be surprised if the UGS’s come out a little more slowly. I’ve hopefully picked up a gig doing blackjack dealing at Fortune Bay Resort & Casino, in which may consume some more of my time. And hey you fuckers keep driving me to do more and more, and hopefully I won’t let you down. Still trying to find my balance, but until then… enjoy

Artist: AceTone
From: West Tucson, Arizona
Rolls With: Highly Intalksickhated Ent. is the label (The krew consists LIL RED, ILL V, LAYZIE , HAVOK and myself)

BeZerk: Why did you choose the name AceTone?

AceTone: There’s a bunch of reasons why I chose this name, or why this name chose me. When I was around 15 or 16, I met this dude from the other side of my town. He’s like my brother now. Butane the clown from the North side of Tucson; he didn’t have this name when I met him, and I didn’t have my name, but one day it just hit him. He called me up talking about how we’re explosive as fuck. Butane and acetone, which is a highly flammable mixture…. So basically, that’s how I got my name.

BeZerk: Who would you consider as an influence?

AceTone: Well music wise, I’d have to say dudes like Esham, Mastamind, Twisted Insane, Twiztid, Tech N9ne, ABK, Mac Dre., Insane Poetry, GrewSum, Dopesic, Tupac, AMB, Syko,Sinist Klick, Mac Mall, Luni Coleone , X Raided, Brotha Lynch, Young Droop, old school west coast gangster rap, a lot of local Tucson emcees that I grew up listening to, Kurt Cobain, Frank Sinatra, Bob Marley, Atmosphere, Binary Star, Army of the Pharaohs , Immortal Technique, Diabolic, King Gordy, The Dark Half, Eminem, horror movies, my environment, and the world.

BeZerk: What is you favorite flavor of Faygo?

AceTone: Blue Moon Mist or cream soda. I cant decide between those two; depends on what kind of liquor I’m drinking.

BeZerk: How long have you been doing music for?

AceTone: I starting writing at around 14, and started recording around 15, but the quality wasn’t half as good as it is now recording wise. A lot. of the substance in the songs were sick as hell though,  so I started recording around 2005 …. about 9 years now.

BeZerk: What do you think makes you unique from other artists?

AceTone: Well everyone has their own thing right? The way I come up with my shit , the stuff I do with words is like some tounges. I don’t know how to explain it, but you can hear it in the music. People tell me they feel that shit that I’m talking about . Everyone wants to be the super unique non conformist type artist or whatever; so to me, it makes a lot of emcees sound the same. I’m just letting my pen do the talking and my style speak for itself without throwing on a gimmick, trying to be the hardest, or worrying about an image. I just love making this music we call the audio poison ….. talk-sick music, class-sicko contemporary lol.

BeZerk: You have your own label. Tell the juggalos more about your label.

AceTone: The name of the label is Higly Intalksickhated Ent. There are 5 artists on the label: Lil Red (she’s from California), so is Layzie (free Layzie)  and Havok. … Ill V is from Tucson, Arizona also. Collectively we all form Highly Intalksickhated artists. We are all solo artists on the label, so there is a bunch of tracks, and different styles to chose from.  Also when that muthafucka Layzie gets out of jail; there might be a little side project duo group with him and myself in it called “Deez Nutz” that was talked about a while back.

BeZerk: You do all your own graphix too. Do you like doing your own or would you work with others?

AceTone: I pretty much like doing the  photo editing stuff. I get to go off on the pictures the way I feel, but if I come across someone whose work is raw as hell; I’d be down.

BeZerk: You’ve been able to collab with GrewSum and a few others. Tell the juggalos about your past collaborations.

AceTone: Yeah we did a track called “Lyrical Pain” at the end of last year. It featured GrewSum. That was dope as fuck to finally do a track with that dude. I recently collabed with one of the Dark Half homies, Ian Stone for the album that I’m working on.  Lil Red and Ill V are about to collab with Smallz One of LSP (Lyrikal Snuff Productions) on some dope shit. We’re just waiting for her to send the track back.

BeZerk: Who would you like to work with in the future?

AceTone: Shit man way too many people.  Killa Capone, Liquid Assassin, Twisted Insane, Cryptic Wisdom, Playboy the Beast, Mr. Liqz, Mastamind , King Gordy , Potluck, and Skitzo (just to name a few).

BeZerk: You’ve actually done quite a few shows. Why don’t you tell the juggalos who you’ve been able to open for and which show was your favorite to perform at?

AceTone: I can’t remember exactly how many (counting the little mini shows I’ve done over time), but let’s see. I’ve performed at a show hosted by  Intrinzik called Hustlemania 2 , at the Rialto Theater in Tucson, Arizona in November of ’09 or ’10 I believe. Mars also performed at that show as well as Siktanik and Razakel of SKR (btw way, this might offend people out there, fuck SKR. Shit’s garbage). That show was dope though.  I’ve done a bunch of performances at some sick ass backyard wrestling events called War Zone Wrestling (look those guys up)… those were my favorite shows to do. Me and Layzie did  the second annual Westcoast Wickedfest with Insane Poetry, and a bunch of dope ass artists from different places. I’ve opened up for Twisted Insane in Mesa, Arizona last year; the year before I opened up for Andre Nickatina, DJ quick, and d12 (minus Em and Proof [RIP Big Proof]).

BeZerk: What else do you have coming up? Any more music videos, merch, CDs, mixtapes, or group projects in the works?

AceTone: I guess I kind of answered these questions slightly already, but with out detail lol. Well Lil Red is about to start working on a mystery project that is unknown to us haha. Ill V is murking a mixtape at the moment. I’m putting together a mixtape for our fans to show em a little love; with tracks by all of us on the label. The mixtape is called “Consumed by Asmodeus,” and I am simultaneously working on second full length album which is featuring some sick collabos from all the H.I. Ent. artists, and some others such as Ian stone from Dark Half. I am getting some dope producers, Fiasco Andretti from Lyrikal Snuff Productions is the producer of one of the beats on the album. I don’t wanna give too much of it away though, but it’s coming together proper. The title of that project is called  ” The Divine Trickster.”  As far as merch goes; we have T-shirts with the Highly Intalksickhated logo on the front. We have license plates that are a replica of the backdrop we are going to be using for 2013 shows, and  we have the logo decal stickers for cars.  Music videos… yes.  I have been contemplating on the next video. It’s going to be better quality, better everything. I can’t decide between a video for ” Beneath the Surface” or “Neva Made Planz. feat. Mith of the Lifted Gifted.” Either way, the vision I have in my head for each video is clear as hell, and I just want to make sure everything is right before I start with the next step in making them.
