So yesterday was a pretty rough day in the Juggalo world for a lot of us. I know that as a person who has been a Juggalo for 17 years, that I was devastated by the thought that Violent J may have blatantly lied to all of us about Blaze’s departure. Blaze openly spoke at a show in regards to him not being aware he was no longer part of Psychopathic Records. The fact is that this was a first in Psychopathic Records history. We are used to silence when artists leave or are asked to leave, we wait for reasons that sadly never seem to come to light. In this case Violent J spoke on the assumption that Blaze had no intentions of staying with them, especially considering how close Twiztid and Blaze are and have been since the beginning. I personally spoke about this in one of my own videos, which you can view if you would like right here. I can’t speak for everyone but I feel the things I said were definitely the consensus of how a lot of Juggalos felt. There is a link in the description that leads to the video involving Blaze speaking openly.
I was truly glad to when it was brought to my attention that ICP and Blaze had BOTH tweeted. To see an actual apology from Violent J himself was pretty awesome, and to see Blaze respond was even better. Now of course we can expect the ‘cover-up’ theories run wild. That it is a matter of damage control. The only people who truly know are Violent J and Blaze. In a time where we are all pretty confused and afraid about the record label we hold so dear to our hearts, it’s good to see some kind of open and public response that we all truly need.
