Mr.UNSTABLE: I’m going to start today with, What made you want to get into the music business?

Smallz One: There was a lot of things that made me pursue this music path I’m on. I’ve always been really interested in music since I was young.

I played instruments in bands when I was in school. I just always appreciated it. When I started rapping, people started to listen to me, like I used to listen to the people I looked up to. If people outside your immediate circle are encouraging you to pursue something more in any music scene, and you’re comfortable and confident in what you can do, by all means, you better pursue it! So I did, 2008 I signed to LSP and that changed my life forever.

Mr.UNSTABLE: In your opinion, what’s the worst part about the music industry?

Smallz One: I think the worst thing that could happen in the music industry, is when you start paying too much attention to what other artists are doing. Especially with these new social media outlets, there’s so much fabricated bullshit from artists that make the truth of what music is about, into something ugly I don’t desire being a part of. Getting involved in music politics is a waste of time. I’ve seen the ugly side, but I switched how I perceive it all and now that I’ve been working with DieaboliK on our Dead Daze project, it’s just all about the music and having fun making it again!

Mr.UNSTABLE: You Seem To Be On An Awesome Label. What’s Your Favorite Part Of Being On Lyrikal Snuff Productionz?

Smallz One: My favorite part of being on LSP is the comfort level of friendships that I have with my label-mates. It’s a strong team, with a lot of opportunities for all of us. I’ll always have love and respect for Scum, for reaching out to me and taking my career somewhere I only dreamed about. LSP is where it’s at for me.

Mr.UNSTABLE: Understandably! Your songs are very aggressive. I love it but You’re vicious. Is this just the sound you like or is it a reaction to your life?

Smallz One: I am vicious! In the most graceful way. I like to change it up every so often but the anger is always there. Life isn’t fair for anyone and for me personally, I relate to hate music. I relate to the anger that’s so widely suppressed by abnormal people. I’ve seen a lot of fucked up shit, I’ve met a lot of fucked up people. I sit back, smile ..then hit the pen and paper and let it go.

Mr.UNSTABLE: In my opinion you have got better with each album you’ve released. Which album of yours is your favorite?

Smallz One: I personally like Mannequin. It took me longer to make that album than The Crimson Kingdom and The Diary of a Black Widow. I took my time to make what I really wanted. I have Bloodshot in my corner during the writing and recording process really giving me the support I need and love. It’s an album that expresses the basic topic that irks the shit out of me. Why do people go out of their way to be artificial? I never understood that. So I wrote down my thoughts to maybe even help myself get a better understanding…but I still don’t get it.

Mr.UNSTABLE: What’s your favorite L.S.P. release that isn’t yours?

Smallz One: Scum’s “Dinner’s Served” is a classic for me. I love that album front to back, it takes me back to a great time in my life.

Mr.UNSTABLE: Hell yeah. I’ve got another one for you. What is your favorite album of all time? You can pick from any genre.

Smallz One: Damn, I really couldn’t narrow it down to just one. shit! I’ll go with the Wu Chronicles Chapter 2 and Twiztid’s Freekshow.

Yeah I said it! Great albums.

Mr.UNSTABLE: You can’t go wrong with Wu-Tang Clan & Twiztid! Now I am really interested in your top three horror flicks?

Smallz One: The Shining, Nightmare on Elm Street and Rosemary’s Baby. I like the eerie horror.

Mr.UNSTABLE: You and DieaboliK The Monster have formed a new group called “Dead Daze”, I just heard the 1st single “The Purge” and it’s awesome.

What can the fans expect from the Dead Daze project?

Smallz One: You can expect a collection of some of the dopest shit I’ve ever done. Now this is why, Dieabolik is an extremely talented artist.

His album Gator Boy lets you know how dope he really is. To work with someone that you feel is on an incredibly high level of skill, you wanna do your best. And I will give it my all to prove this. He’s a great partner to work with, no stress, no demands, just all do as we please! I love it, it’s a real highlight in my life right now. I can’t wait to bring it to the public, the completed masterpiece.

Mr.UNSTABLE: I do music and I’m a father, I’m trying to juggle both right now. How do you manage being a mother and an artist?

Smallz One: It’s probably the most difficult thing I’ve ever done!! As you know, when you become a parent, everything about YOU gets put on the back burner. We are amazingly creating human beings that will flourish in this world and become great adults. It’s a lot of sacrifices, but it will pay off. I don’t get as much music done as fast and as often as I’d like or as I used to, but what I do put into music is so much more of me, knowing that the time I have with my love for music is rare and special, I wanna just give it my best.

Mr.UNSTABLE: I am really loving your latest release “Mannequin”. What can we look forward to from you in the near future?

Smallz One: So far, this Dead Daze project is really getting the majority of my attention. It will actually, for a long while to come. More music videos for sure. Touring’s not so much on my priority list at the moment, home is where I’m needed the most right now, which is OK! ‘Cause when it IS time for me to tour, it’s going to be a finely tuned Smallz One that the people are going to get.

Mr.UNSTABLE: I can appreciate that. Smallz, You are hands down my favorite female rapper, Who is yours?

Smallz One: Thanks man!! As far as female rappers go? (She laughs) hmmmm, Gangsta Boo is raw as fuck. I respect her, always. Da Brat was dope. Sole’ was nice. I’ll leave it at that. (She Smiles)

Mr.UNSTABLE: Any advice for artists out there reading this who are just now getting their start?

Smallz One: Yes! Don’t listen to a “vet” rapper who wants the attention for themselves, they were beginners too at one point and although most worked hard to get where they’re at, doesn’t mean you can’t either! Always work on bettering your skill. Never take to heart the hate people spit.

Opposing opinions are EVERYWHERE these days. These newer artists are locking down their cities and supporting tours for larger names. Follow that heart, as lame as that might sound. no regrets!

Mr.UNSTABLE: A Nightmare Before Christmas or Beetlejuice?

Smallz One: Beetlejuice all the way!

Mr.UNSTABLE: What’s The name of last Book that you read?

Smallz One: “Rose Madder” by Stephen King. He’s the only author who I’ll dedicate my time in reading books for.

Mr.UNSTABLE: What’s the title of the last song you wrote?

Smallz One: Untitled Dead Daze track (She Smiles)

Mr.UNSTABLE: Frosted mini wheat’s, sugar side or the wheat side?

Smallz One: Sugar! The more the better!

Mr.UNSTABLE: Speaking of food, We all know that no one eats right on tour. What’s your favorite tour food?

Smallz One: Happy meals from McDonalds (She Smiles) Every once in a while we’d stop for a Chinese buffet or Cracker Barrel, or some shit like that.

Subway and McDonalds are shit I stay the hell away from off tour!

Mr.UNSTABLE: Any artist that you would most like to collaborate with in the future?

Smallz One: Alias Grim (She Winks)

Mr.UNSTABLE: Which dead musician would you reanimate if given the chance?

Smallz One: Amy Winehouse
