The opener “Spoiled Milk” is the introduction, and it’s a decent job. It’s a basic introduction to the album, and Cognito himself overall. Since some time has passed since the previous album, he covers his upbringing, career, and personal details. The beat is simplistic and has a consistent keyboard line throughout, but the music backing the chorus turns down the tone and is a bit under whelming. “My Chucks” is another example of this flaw, except the weird distortion of the vocals saves it from being a dud.

“Kick Rocks” has a unique beat within the track. The possible xylophone makes it sound uplifting and, dare I say, fun. The lyrics is quite the opposite, dishing out overall hatred towards everyone. But then he goes on a typical rant about bitches. Although I don’t dislike it, it’s just odd that he changes the subject so quickly. “Anarchy Nation” has the same problem, and although the beat is very good, he can’t seem to stay on track.

Half of the tracks on the album talk about female problems and the usual bitch topics. Cognito usually takes out his frustration through his lyrics which is all fine and dandy, but as just mentioned, he incorporates this in songs that initially have nothing to do with the other topics. Although songs can easily have more than one point, he does it at the wrong times and sometimes kills the vibes.

The features on this album are hit and miss. “No Gimmicks” has a verse by Brotha Lynch Hung which fits perfectly, and he kills it. But on “Anarchy Nation”, Hopsin doesn’t come off well. Fans of his music will no doubt embrace his verse, but it just doesn’t seem to fall in place. From what I’ve heard in the past, it sounds very typical of what he would usually write. “Bad Lil’ Breezy” features the veteran Master P, but the track overall is decent, and both of their verses aren’t stellar, but isn’t awful.

“OverHATED” showcases Cognito spitting quickly and he doesn’t miss a beat whatsoever. In this song though, there are no breaks or choruses, but since he nonstop flows, it fits nicely. The beat is a bit repetitive with minimal changes for over 4 minutes, but that’s not the highlight of the track anyway. His vocal skills outshine some of the lesser production throughout the album, but not always.

At times, the attempts at new styles suffers the quality. In the track “Iron Heart”, the singing tries to glide across the breakdowns, but it just doesn’t fit. It comes across as a bit cheesy although the song is clearly trying to be sincere.

The “Laugh Now, Cry Later” and “Milk Man” skits are pretty funny, and is a good break from the overall anger in the other tracks. The skits feature DJ Pause as well.

The album is best described as lacking an overall point. Cognito doesn’t pinpoint the subjects in some tracks too well, and he possibly meshed together different topics and ideas into a same song. A few of the beats are also a bit lackluster; however, when he spits over most tracks, he does a good job regardless of the quality. Most of the features are noteworthy as well and is a good addition. It’s not a terrible album, but a lot could have been improved if some more tweaks could be worked on.
