Since they went independent in Dec 2012 Twiztid has been working nonstop to provide Juggalos and Juggalettes with tours, merchandise, and music.  Their first release after Psychopathic “A New Nightmare” was met with mixed reviews.  They announced in late 2013 that Blaze had officially been signed to their new, yet to be named, label.  They also announced that the new album “Get Twiztid” was forthcoming in 2014.  But before that comes out they did the family a favor and released the second in hopefully a long series of mixtapes called “4 Tha Fam Vol 2.”  This album was released on March 27, 2014 for free to everyone all over the world.  Initial reviews are once again mixed, so we decided to give you our thoughts on it!

Track by track review and rating

Twiztid – The Losers Win- A definite beginning to a mixtape.  This is an intro that features an interview they did with an Australian DJ.  It is funny but not Rate worthy here.  N/A

Twiztid – Set It Off- This track is the tale of two tracks really.  Monoxides verse is backed by an old school beat and Madrox’s verse is backed with DJ Snake & Lil Jon’s “Turn down for what” beat.  Both verses are devastating.  The combination of old school and new school beats works really well here.  4/5

Twiztid – Mutant X (Seven Remix)- A remake of a classic Twiztid track from Seven.  The beat is much slower and the verses have been redone to match the slower pace.  The beat has an almost industrial feel to it.  This will be a 50/50 for most Juggalos.  Those who love the original probably won’t dig it.  Those who like reinterpretations of tracks will like it.  3.5/5

Zodiac Mprint – Gettin’ Wu Wit It- A new Zodiac Mprint track!  The vocals could be brought up to get over the beat in the first verse.  The verses are well done and the beat is very unique.  A very short track.  3/5

Twiztid Massacre Mash Up by Fritz The Cat- This track is a mash up Dark Lotus “Drunken Ninja Master”, Twiztid “Fuck on the 1st date”, Twiztid “I’m Alright”, and Twiztid “Do you really know”.  Fritz does a great job mixing and blending the tracks in this.  He added great new beats and made them new again.  4/5

Hello From The Crypt- The beat in this short interlude is awesome!  I think most los and lettes would love to see Twiztid kill this beat.  Too short for a rating unfortunately.  N/A

Twiztid Fuck Shop- This is an eight minute skit of Twiztid answering “questions” from anonymous people involving sexual situations.  In Twiztid fashion it is hilarious.  A great skit if not a little long.  4/5

Twiztid – Embarrassed (Dirty Dirty Remix)- Another dope beat in this track.  This is an HOK remix from a track only released on vinyl.  A dope track but short at only about 1:30.  3.5/5

Zodiac Mprint – Beware Of The Wolf (Charlie Beans Mix)- Another new Zodiac Mprint track.  A very dark and busy beat in this one.  Once again the beat is very loud and makes the verses hard to decipher.  This definitely drags the track down.  3/5

HOK, ABK, & Aqualeo – Monstrosity (Mike E Clark Mix)- This is a remix of the HOK song on “A New Nightmare”  The addition of Aqualeo is very cool.  The mix Mike Clark added here is very well done.  Another great remix for this mixtape.  4.5/5

Twiztid – Impending Doom (No Apologies Remix)- This is a stripped down track to the music of One Republic.  A good track but once again very very short.  3/5

Grimm Tim’s Home Remedies- Another skit here.  It is another funny few minutes.  A redneck remedies show.  3/5

Twiztid & Blaze – Drugs & Alcohol (West Coast Killa Mix)- This track is a banger.  The beat is from Bow Down by Westdside Connection and Twiztid and Blaze kill it.  By far the best new track on the album.  4.5/5

Dark Lotus – Layaway- A dark track from Lotus.  The beat is good with nice verses from all the members.  This track has a rock edge similar to other tracks they have released.  Not the best Lotus track out there but nice to finally get it out there.  3/5

The Martini Bros.- This is a very funny skit/track.  The Martini Bros are lounge singers and they give us lounge lizard takes on classics such as “Hungry like a wolf”, “Roxanne”, and “The Dog Catcher”.  4/5

Twiztid & Rittz- Badside- This is a remake of Badside from “Abominationz”.  The track is alright but the verse Rittz puts on here doesn’t really fit.  His flow and delivery seem forced.  Fans of the original will most likely not like his verse here.  2.75/5

Twiztid – Mind Goes Mad (East Coast Closer Mix)- This track has a hard hitting beat and quick flows.  From the music to the verse this track is solid clear through.  The biggest negative is the mixtape air horn addition.  3.5/5

Overall Rating: 3.55/5

Conclusion:  Twiztid gave the family one of the best produced mixtapes you will find on the market. This album is a mixtape from beginning to end.  They manage to recreate old tracks throughout, some successful and some not so much.  The added quite a few tracks that people have never heard.  They rounded it out with hilarious skits that broke up the album nicely.  What more could you ask from a free album?  This is an album worth picking up especially when they are giving it to the family for free.
