Ask a Juggalo: What is Faygo Armageddon?

It’s that time of the week again, Metro Times Detroit has released their latest “Ask a Juggalo” column. This weeks column questions are being answered by Danielle Keene aka Dani2Dope.

In this column, Danielle answers the question, What Is Faygo Armageddon? If you would like to send a question in to be answered, you can do so by emailing [email protected].

From Metro Times Detroit:

Q: What is Faygo Armageddon?

A: Basically, Faygo Armageddon happens at the end of ICP shows or at the end of their set at the Gathering. They basically just unload and throw all of the Faygo at once. It used to be that anyone could get up there, but now it seems to be more like bands and VIPs, they let you up there. But every once in a while, the crowd takes over, and, if you could get up on stage past security, you could be up there. But the stage ends up being full of people, and then they just bring cases and cases and cases of Faygo out, and then they just throw it and shoot it out into the audience. So it’s kinda like the “chaos moment” of the show, usually at the very, very end. At the Gathering, for example, they bring a fire hose out and spray Faygo — at least I believe the fire hose shoots Faygo. I’m not sure because there’s so much going on that you can’t really tell if it’s water or Faygo. It’s so much that sometimes it’s hard to look up at the stage because it’s in your eyes and all around you. Of course, they shoot Faygo throughout the show and throw it out, but there’s nothing like Faygo Armageddon. It’s just complete chaos at the end. If you’re lucky enough to get up on stage during it, then it’s great. It ends up that you can’t even see where ICP is half the time, it’s so full of other people. It’s definitely Armageddon, that’s for sure.

Danielle Keen, aka Dani 2 Dope, is a 36-year-old Jugalette. She has been an ICP fan for 20 years and lives in Fowlerville, a small town “surrounded by cornfields” between Lansing and Detroit.
