Oracle of the Three Rings (Into the Echoside expansion) to be released at DCG Con!

There was a huge announcement made tonight at DCGCon.com!  We have been promised an expansion pack for Into The Echoside for what seems like forever now!  It was rumored to be released at the Gathering, but never came to fruition.

That is about to change though!  The Oracle of the Three Rings is almost here, and will be ready to be released at this year’s DCG Con!  We’re talking 120 Brand New Cards, and if you purchase the expansion pack at the con, you’ll get a DCG Con EXCLUSIVE Shaggy Show Flavor Card!  Check out the info below!

Ninjas prepare for the ultimate freshness debuting at this year’s DCG CON! It’s the highly anticipated expansion for the Into the Echoside deckbuilding game entitled Oracle of the Three Rings! Brought to you by the original creators themselves: Jumpsteady, Louis Simpson, and Tom Wood! With 120 brand new cards, including Dark Carnival, Psychopathic, Underground, Flavor, Epic, Item, Fiend, and Juggalo cards as well as two new types of cards: Tarot cards (that introduce global effects) and Gambit cards that let you choose special abilities before the game even begins!

Also get schooled with the all new Fast and Mirror effects, which allow you to play even more cards outside of your turn, so you can attack and mess with your opponents in all new devious ways. As if that wasn’t enough, the expansion also includes 4 Karma Wheels to help you keep track of your Karma, 4 new reference cards, a rulebook, and 2 custom 12-sided dice!

Lastly, if you purchase the Oracle of the Three Rings expansion at this year’s DCG CON, May 11–13, 2018 (www.dcgcon.com), you will also receive “The Shaggy Show” promo card that you can only get at this year’s con! How’s that for wig flippin, back crackin, face slappin flavor!

Whoop whoop Scruffy, if you’re talking about the box size, Jump said last year that the expansion came with a new plastic box insert so everything fits in the og box.

Can’t wait for this, been awhile coming.

Scruff–Do you play other deckbuilding games? So, what a deckbuilding expansion is, is that it introduces who new core concepts to the game. This is 120 new cards with new art, new effects, everything. And honestly–after playtesting? It’s AMAZING. You know stomps right? Well now you can bitchslap and do all kinds of additional fast effects to fuck up your opponents. After playing with the expansion, I don’t ever wanna go back to the o.g. version. It’s so fun. Just wait. New epics are dope too :)

wowzers- i dont play em. actually, i almost never play echoside; nobody around me ever wants to fuckin play it.
granted, i expect an expansion to, well, expand n all that shit. just would be annoyed to have to have doubles of everything else for no particular reason.
bonesaw- many perfectly respectable brands have pulled stunts that were much much staler than that and gotten away with it. figure its a fair enough question.

You’re missing out my dude. We meet for games weekly. Typically Dark Carnival Games but right now we’re doing the limited edition game based on John Carpenter’s The Thing.

But anyway, yes. I am looking forward to this too.

Now that I think about it, I had to buy 7 albums that I already owned to get House of Wax EP. But that would just be silly on this. I could see them doing a thing where you can get a discounted bundle or just buy the expansion. So echoside is 40 and this is probably 20. So 50 bucks for both. But they would be crazy to make you buy the base game again

Scruff–I’m not sure you understand an expansion? You put it right into your existing game. You don’t need to buy an additional copy of echoside–just the one you have. You put the two together and……yas!

But yes in order to use an expansion, you would first need to have the base game to expand upon. U don’t need 2 copies of the O.G. game. Just one original game plus one expansion.

I want to buy Echoside, but have no one to play with, with the exception of the wife every once in a blue moon. It would unfortunately collect dust. My merch collecting days are pretty much over so I don’t see a logical point in purchasing.

wowzers- yeah, i get the broad strokes. how its ‘sposed ta’ work.
but like i say, ive seen plenty of addons and expansions and updates that were firmly stuck together with their original releases.
hell, madden has made a billion doin it every single year.
