KMK “Kingdom Come” Pre-order Update #2

We’ve got some more news concerning your orders for the Kottonmouth Kings album: Kingdom Come.  Unfortunately, the info we bring is about more delays.  If you ordered a copy of Kingdom Come, don’t worry, it’s still in the works, but demand for them has been overwhelming!

It’s a good problem to have, but hopefully their crew can get all of these orders into the mail and into our hands soon.  I’m patiently waiting too, homies!

For now, check out the complete email that we received about your orders from KingmakerStore.com:

Kottonmouth Kings “Kingdom Come” Pre Orders and Shipping Update

Kings and Kweens, We apologize for any delays in your order. As discussed in our previous email we were overwhelmed with orders and had many more pre orders then we could have ever expected. We are a independent band doing this without a label or distribution company. We are trying to respond to any emails as fast as possible. Below is a list of common answers we are receiving from emails. We thank you so much for the love and support you have shown us on this album. We made this for you.

  1. Stickers – Some orders did not receive stickers. We ran out of stickers and did not want to delay in sending out your album waiting for new stickers. These will be sent out to any orders not containing stickers in the near future.
  2. Missing Items – There were a few sizes and items that we have sold out on. Again we didn’t want to delay sending out your order waiting for the new sizes to arrive. We have not forgotten about you and will be sending out the missing items as soon as they arrive.
  3. Digital Downloads – We ran into technical difficulties with this, We will be emailing Digital download links in the near future to everyone that will include a special bonus.

This is getting frustrating. Don’t get me wrong, I understand when things don’t go as planned, but this is getting ridiculous. I do like the note about everyone getting download links for their orders; that should’ve been a given for EVERY order that included the CD in the first place.

On another note, apparently the album was released on Google Play/iTunes/etc. yesterday to no fanfare. The album is listed as a “special edition”, but there’s nothing different about the tracklist from what was released a few weeks back, so… *shrugs*

Yea, that’s why I didn’t pre-order it. I have plenty of other music I can listen to until they get their shit together on this one. I was wondering how they were going to pull off what likely amounts to thousands of orders with no label support in such a short time frame. That’s been known to fuck up big artists who were expecting a large amount of orders, so it was almost definitely gonna happen.

Why the fuck didn’t United Family Music release this?

why the fuck not have Brad on any songs? kind of lame that there’s no explanation for that, other than D-Loc doing his own thing with his cannabis company, probably just wanted to release it on his own so he can keep the majority of the profits.

it’s kind of strange to see the track list and see “featuring Johnny Richter” on almost every song haha, like why not just agree that he’s back in the band.

How do you fuck up digital sales of an album? Is it 1999? Were they sending zip files attached to emails?

Amateurs. Not a good look. “Shit, we didn’t expect to sell more than 20, so we ran out of everything”

It makes you question how many orders there were. Did they have 1,000 copies in stock before the sale date? Were there 50,000 orders? In the event it is D-Loc trying to fill the orders by himself, its understandable how this could happen with no planning. But the point of a pre-order is to have everything ready for delivery on that date. Now its been 2 weeks which is lame to be waiting when you pre-ordered. I hope the “bonus” is more tracks though.
