Death Jam Recordings Roster May Include Flatlinerz, Donnie Menace, Alla Xul Elu, Choirboy Dank and more!

Those who’ve been following hip-hop since the Golden Age should know that New York horrorcore legends The Flatlinerz were signed to  Russell Simmons hip-hop giant  Def Jam RecordingsFlatlinerz emcee, Redrum, is the nephew of Russell Simmons. Their debut record “Under Satans Authority” scared the hell out of FM Radio and MTV.  Their video and single for “Satanic Verses” was immediately  banned upon first viewing and listening! Many hip-hop heads and various labels thought Horrorcore Rap was the next big thing beyond Gangster Rap. However the genre remained largely underground, yet still highly successful.

The labels name Death Jam Records is an obvious homage to Def Jam while creatively showing the label might be focused on just  the darker side of hip-hop; Horrorcore, Acid Rap, Wicket Shit, or anything about murder. The Flatlinerz returned over 5 years ago and lately have been releasing soon to be classic horror music flavors. It would make sense for them to start a label with fresh new brutal talent. Upon reading the comments of the Faygoluvers Facebook page, someone by the name of Scotty Catuzza posted a picture of a flyer with the Death Jam Recordings logo and the silhouettes of the artist featured. Two of the silhouettes have question marks across them. I asked if the picture was legit and he states it is. But I haven’t seen any of the artists featuring posts or discuss about the label, anywhere. But the post could be promising!

Here is a little info regarding the other known artists.

Las Vegas hip-hop slasher Donnie Menace has been grinding his ass off since 2003! While still a teenager in high-school he appeared on the classic Halloween compilation Devilz Nite and performed on shows with underground veteran Q-Strange. Since then Donnie Menace has accomplished various musical goals. He placed second in Young Wicked’s “Still I Rise” MC Contest, performed at the Gathering of the Juggalos and appearing in various videos directed by Canadian underground kings  Reel Wolf! This Sin City cat has  deserved to be signed since his 2008 debut record “The Threat”.

Ohio’s Alla Xul Elu keep climbing up the underground skyscraper status! The masked horror hip-hop hounds have performed at three Gathering of the Juggalo’s in a row. Jumpsteady of Psychopathic Records himself has stated various times on the Juggalo Show  that he’s a big fan of Alla Xul Elu and was thoroughly impressed with their debut video for their haunting death metal tinged single “The Suffering”.  Their upcoming record “The Almighty” is bound to scare the shit out of the underground hip-hop world! Imagine a collab between them and the Flatlinerz? M. Night  Shyamalan himself would bump that!

This one is a little controversial. We don’t really know the true story behind  Swag Toof breaking up last year. Rumor has it both Ouija and Choirboy (as Swag Toof) were supposed to be signed to Psychopathic Records. No doubt that the unique flow of Choirboy Dank greatly helped Swag Toof erupt like Mount Fuji within the underground and become swiftly recognized as the new elite of hip-hop. Choirboy Dank has reportedly been hard at work within his solo career and being signed by the Flatlinerz would benefit his career. Especially with the fact Choirboy is currently residing in New York where the Flatlinerz are from.

So are you excited for Death Jam Records post being legit?  Only time will tell! Leave comments below!
