Since returning to the underground hip-hop scene last year, the murder mitten veteran emcee has been hard at work on a ton of different various projects. No one expected Menacide to re-release his 1998 debut LP “In My World” and then boom, outta nowhere, Menacide announced on his personal social media pages that “In My World” will be re-released remastered and with bonus material on August 3rd! Super fresh! Pre-orders are gong fast too! So don’t sleep!
From Menacide himself:
“N.W.A. Nas. The Notorious B.I.G. 2Pac. These are a few of the select HIp Hop artists I know about whose longevity in the game afforded them the luxury of putting out a 20th Anniversary Edition of an album that helped define their careers. And these are globally known artists. In terms of underground, I can’t think of many (other than ICP).
Fans, friends, ladies and gentlemen.. I present to you, Menacide – “In My World,” The 20th Anniversary Edition. Yes, it’s truly been that long since a young white kid from Michigan spent his last to record an album at a pro studio, landed Associated Press coverage and statewide radio play as a result, and solidified himself as one hell of a force to reckon with in the underground circuit.
If you’re fan of the original, you don’t wanna miss this one. Digitally remastered, rare bonus tracks from the original studio sessions, revamped art, and more.
To my fellow artists: I only hope this inspires you to stick around in the game long enough to see what unfolds. Through the thick, the thin, the wins, the losses, I’ve been there. And this album, my friends, is where it all began.
Preorders for this historic release begin at all digital retailers on July 13th, 2018. Release date is set at August 3rd!
Thanks, much love, and Please Share! – Menacide”
CD Hard Copy Pre-orders Are Up Now:
And that’s not all Menacide will be dropping! Placenta Recordings in Detroit has just put up Menacide’s Drugz: Slowed & Chopped for CD/Hard Copy pre-order. It’s the one with the ultra sick purple art you’ve probably seen floating around. They’ve limited the release to a very small 50 copies, and it’s the first time this album has ever been released on CD. Placenta is like, the world’s coolest little label. They specialize in rare, weird, and obscure releases, and are legit a perfect fit for this CD.
