The homies from BeneathDirt.com noticed that D-Loc took over the @thekottonmouthkings_ Instagram live feed to get some things off of his chest about the Kottonmouth Kings. It sounds like he may have been hearing some things from fans about artists who used to be a part of the group, so he decided to take to his socials to air it out.
Loc repeated himself a lot, saying that he and Richter are responsible for the Kings for 22 years and that they would continue the legacy. He spoke for over 20 minutes to the fans tuning in, and you can see it below.
I took some notes as D-Loc spoke, and like I said, he repeated himself multiple times. But here’s a brief rundown either way:
- Ripperside coming December 21st!
- 2019 marks the 22nd year he and Richter have been doing music together.
- Can’t forget about the past of the Kottonmouth Kings
- Everyone who supported KMK in the past should support it in the present.
- 2 out of the 3 original members are still a part of KMK.
- Those on social media saying that if _________ isn’t in the band, it’s not KMK, then they are wrong.
- Don’t point your fingers at D-Loc and Johnny Richter because the other guys are no longer in the band.
- Everybody should be thanking D-Loc and Johnny Richter for keeping the legacy alive, expanding the catalog, growing the legacy, and giving their lives for the Kottonmouth Kings
- Dedicated over 2 decades to this to make it as big as they could make it.
- He would hate for people to give up on KMK because Lou Dogg, Daddy X, Bobby B aren’t in the group
- If you’ve been down with something for so long, why would you turn your back on something you used to be so passionate about?
- This is the AFTERMATH of Suburban Noize Records. It’s not dead, it’s far from it!
- He doesn’t lose sleep over the shit talking.
- D-Loc and Richter gave a ton of artists opportunities with the KMK. Riding on the tour bus, never asking for anything in return. At some point KMK paid your bills.
- Nothing but respect to anyone who helped build the legacy of the KMK
- Shout out to Tech N9ne, ICP, Dogg Pound, Kurupt, Warren G, etc
- 2019 is the new era for the Kottonmouth Kings. We can’t take back the past.
- Support the new catalog and original music like you supported the past. Come to the shows, feel the love/vibes, and don’t be mad because they’re not in the band.
- Nobody in the industry will stop the KMK. D-Loc owns the intellectual properties of the Kottonmouth Kings.
- Spread the word and thank Richter and D-Loc for keeping it going
- D-Loc pats himself on the back for putting in 22 years and giving it his all
- Brand new record label is called Kingmaker Music

Dustin…
Kmk will live on forever, you know it AND we all know that. We know you enjoyed one hell of a life and you still are living life better than your average consumer.
Do us a favor and make music for your sake, thats how you “do it for the fans”. Your core base will always be there. Once you give them something fresh to bump, they will tell the ones that “used” to listen to y’all more often about your new shit…and since people change every decade, people got more friends and connections, so in turn you will also garner even more fans, just from your established core base.
You got a head start to making kmk a household name again, just relax and focus on the future adventures of kmk and what they are gonna be like (just like when you first came out). Start producing more music and product for us to check out and keep putting yourself “out there”…keeping hustling and don’t quit.
You had people buzzing and happy with your performance at the gathering this year, don’t lose that buzz…fyi most of us thought y’all were working on more music before you made this video (what happened to saint dog now?). We thought that cuz “kmk” has had a rough and confusing last decade and since y’all been slower and slower on making music that it was the normal kmk grind ethics…yall make less music during times when it’s WAAAAY easier and less costly to make a song.
Get your grind on homie and soon you will be doing shrooms at the gathering again.
Peace and Love!

Saint Dog’s been having a stroke for about 5 years now. Maybe they put him out of his misery. Im starting to get bored with these washed up, past their prime, middle aged, white rappers who lost their creativity in 2005, still tryna sell me their garbage music off the strength of their “reputation”. This shit is like an entire genre of music these days. IMO, you’re only as good as your last release and I cant even remember the last KMK shit I liked. Again though, its just my opinion so dont go getting upset and self-harming over this comment…

I’ve actually heard some of D-Loc’s absolutely brilliant earth shattering lyrics for the next album!
“D double dash double dash double dash
I smokes mad hash cuz I’m D double dash
We’re barely a thing, we haves no cash
but thats ok cuz I’m D double dash”
The man is a true poet! Subtle metaphors just dripping from every line.

So before it was just D-Loc and Saint Dog, and it’s now Loc and Richter? Now if they add The Dirtball to that (if Saint is no longer apart of the group), then I think that’ll get some hype going without the likes of Daddy X, Bobby B, and Lou. Loc says on fb alot that he wants to be back in the top of the billboard charts again, and as fresh as it was to get a new KMK album earlier this year, it’s was by far one of their worst, and saying that just sucks, but the point is, it felt like the music was so drastically different than what we became accustomed to, that it just threw people off. To me it felt more like a D-Loc solo album featuring Saint and Johnny with the KMK name and logo on there. Hope they bring it with this new album, and can’t wait for their tour.
