The Twiztid track “magic spellz” from their upcoming album Generation Nightmare has been a contender in a radio contest for the entire week. There’s a rock station out of Columbus, Ohio called The Blitz that you can find at 99.7 FM. Every weeknight at 8:20 PM, they conduct a Twitter vote between two songs: a contender, and the reigning champ.
For the past week, Twiztid has been SLAUGHTERING the competition, getting roughly 90% of the vote! They aren’t going up against a bunch of no-name bands either. We’re talking wins over Godsmack, Asking Alexandria, The Amity Affliction, and more!
From what a Columbus Juggalo told me, if they are undefeated, for 4 weeks straight, they retire the track as undefeated champs!

There’s an interview on YouTube with Twiztid where Monoxide without any prompt at all starts dissing Eminem, Monoxide calls Eminem a Fucknut, and says “unlike you, we’re smart because…etc.” There’s YouTube footage of Jamie dissing the shit out of Eminem calling him a mainstream bitch, again without any prompt to do so, it may have been ICPs beef but Twiztid had no problem with joining in on the dissing back when it was cool to diss Eminem amongst the Juggalo world, now they pretend like they were strong armed into dissing Eminem, Monoxide is a lying motherfucker. Here’s something I asked someone who also claimed this “held back” bullshit but they didn’t have a single good answer, but can you name 3 times any artist on Psy was ever “held back”, go on, give 3 examples.

There’s no integrity in their music at all anymore. Eminem even said himself that he sold out for the money and he knew his new shit sounded like garbage and did it anyway. Then even comes out and say that is one of his biggest regrets. Staying true to yourself and your style is one of the biggest accomplishments for an artist because they didnt have to change their ways, they changed the minds of the people around them that gave their music a listen in the first place.

The rock element they are trying to put out isnt even that bad. It’s the way they are starting to portray themselves, you’d think they’d announce that they rep Juggalo to people who never heard of Twiztid before, and try to bring a good repuation/image for everyone. Also, Madrox likes bands like Crown The Empire, Bring Me the Horizon, ect. The only good bands they affiliated themselves with at Warped were Chelsea Grin. It makes sense why they went to Warped but I dont think everybody there will support Twiztid as hard as Juggalos ever will. The horror community maybe, which is a good fit, but you cant expect Hot Topic kids to appreciate the wicked shit to the degree it deserves when you have Black Veil Brides fans complaining Twiztid is too scary.

Ignoring the fact that ICP has jumped on every pop trend that has existed since the beginning of their careers, the fact that they have openly whined about not being taken seriously then getting extremely excited every time they ever get praise, jumping on the dick of any popular artist that ever acknowledges them and collaborating with as many as possible, repetitively covering radio hit pop songs including that aforementioned Rae Sremmurd as well as a Christina Aguilera song, openly admitting to buying any album that has at least two pop hits, throwing a tantrum and trying to get juggalos to force MTV to play their music videos and sending singles to radio stations long after claiming not to care about radio play I guess you may have a point.
You have to ignore a lot to really come to that conclusion though. The only bit of information to ever sway you from believing that they have been trying to make pop hits this whole time is them telling you they haven’t. That would just plainly make you a thoughtless sheep blindly taking their words as gospel since their actions completely contradict their underground, antipop facade they’ve been marketing to you.
I know you mikey, I know you assume that everybody that scrutinizes ICP is a Twiztid nut rider, but Twiztid are exactly the same with the only difference being that Twiztid had been trying to blow up off of this poppy/emo metalcore sound despite the trend being a bit dated while ICP has completely embraced trendy trap production and ‘soundcloud’ rapper cliches and Twiztid seems to be succeeding in creating that hit that ICP has failed to do so far. (ignoring miracles which is more of a meme than a hit, kind of like a precursor to artists like Lil B and Bhad Bhabi)
Here’s a new perspective to the fact that your juggalo idols are trying to be pop stars. That doesn’t make either ICP or Twiztid sell outs because I think both legitimately like the trendy poppy music they imitate and I don’t think either of them will turn their backs on the core fans I see it as them trying to reach more and indoctrinate more rather than abandoning or selling out juggalos.

1. No, the fact that ICP’s music has always emulated the popular trends of the time shows that they have wanted to create pop hits.
2. They did that with plenty of Great Milenko as well as Chicken Huntin’, Tilt-A-Whirl, Homies, etc. (which now that I think about it, Hokus Pokus was kind of a hit in the UK)
3. I have no clue what you’re trying to say about Twiztid because it’s incoherent. I’m not calling anybody a ‘sell out’ I’m just pointing out the obvious that both Twiztid and ICP have always tried to be pop stars with top hits. First off, Mikey, I don’t think you know what ‘trap’ is.
ICP has a whole trap project with the kings and god fathers of trap themselves, 36 Mafia. That whole project was more akin to Chicago’s drill scene since that had a short burst of popularity for bit after Chief Keef.
They do have a song on FFF that’s trying to emulate the soundcloud pop rap artists like Rae Sremmurd, Lil Uzi Vert, Juice World, etc. that’s completely dominating the charts lately.
Just as Missing Link Lost jumped on the industrial trap sound bandwagon popularized by Kanye West’s Yeezus and of course adopted by Travi$ Scott. Found wasn’t much different in the trendy sounds it borrowed either and it’s absolutely a pop record.
Or how Great Milenko was jumping on the rap/rock numetal trend that was popular at that time.
I don’t think they do it just to go mainstream, I think they legitimately like the trends they follow. It is completely obvious, though, that they’ve always wanted and intended their music to become pop hits. The whole idea that they are antipop is a combination of their bitterness towards an industry that wouldn’t accept them the way they wanted and a marketing strategy to appeal to the edgy counter culture aesthetic that was popular at the time.

I sincerely do not think there is a better example of a band selling out their integrity, changing their sound, asking too much of their fans, folding to record labels and using any other tactic necessary to gain mainstream success than ICP. The fact that they continue to pretend that they are this counter culture, and their fans still eat it up, is mind boggling.

More so I think the idea that they are the antithesis of pop is marketing. It’s a way to manipulate the fans into thinking they are special or exclusive or the alternative.
