A few days ago the wicked underground went into brief hysteria as people mistakenly thought Bay Area masked legend Mars (Mad Insanity) had died after a flyer mysteriously dropped online with the words “In Memory” containing the years 1980-2019. The flyer even had an image of a hand gripping the handle of the casket. No other information surfaced for awhile. But of course the flyer spread like wild fire with fans and artists alike expressing their condolences to Mars. As it turns out it was just a brilliant social media marketing plan for a newly recorded (soon to be a another indie hit) Mars single titled “In Memory”. And its now available for your listening pleasure! The track features the Pittsburg, California Prince inside a slow chilled out beat. The beat capable of putting listeners in an eerie gangsta musical trance while the Mad Insanity emcee voice is pounding through their headphones expressing “Not wanting to murder again unless he has to!”. So yes, Mars is still alive and he’s planning on dropping more wicked Cali flavor for years to come! Enjoy it!
