Austin Juggalo James Dubey Passes Away

We received some terrible news a few days ago, but wanted to make sure that it was OK to post from his brother and wife.

A Juggalo named James Dubey of Austin, TX passed away shortly after returning from this year’s Gathering of the Juggalos.  The biggest tragedy is that his wife gave birth to their child right before he passed.

James’ homie Juan H. emailed us about him, said he was such a great person, and truly awesome just to be in his presence.  He said he will be missed by friends, family, and Juggalos/Juggalettes who had the privilege of knowing him.

James had battled heroin addiction, and as far as everyone knew, he was clean for an extended amount of time. He let his addiction get the best of him after returning from the Gathering, and ended up ODing.

I only include that last part to bring awareness to those of you who are struggling yourselves, and who have friends and family who struggle with addiction.  If you are battling it yourself, please think of the consequences of your actions, who you leave behind, and what impact it has on everyone else’s lives if you don’t survive your next fix. If you have friends and family that are struggling, make sure to check in on them often. Do whatever you can to help them get through this.  I hate to have to post stories like these, but feel that the deceased should be remembered by our Juggalo community.

Rest in Peace, James Dubey.  Much love and condolences to his friends and family.

Ashley (wife), James, and his brother Ray

Ever notice how when you watch the news its normally 50+ year olds they mention passing away and on faygoluvers its mostly people under 40. I wonder what the average life expectancy of a Juggalos is.
