Mr. Diamond, Mr. Club, and Mr. Spade slaughtered Detroit this past week with their Devil’s Night performance at the El Club venue and just dropped a brand new fire track titled “Ricochet”! Now that everyone has had a chance to soak in the new SV track, what do ya’ll think about it?! Was it worth the 14 year wait?! I like Esham’s verses, J’s don’t do much for me here, and definitely needs more Shaggy. Overall a solid song, but needed a little more to it.

Track was dope as fuck overall, Spade definitely shines the hardest holy shit. And before more people start saying Club shoulda done more or had a verse, Club has NEVER had a verse on a SV track and that’s the point, that’s the dynamic of the group, Club does hooks and scratches and shit like that. Shoutout to FaygoLuvers.

Violent J owned this track and always outshines Esham. I love Esham but J has me rewinding to hear his verse again. Motherfucker is a legend. Shaggy sounded smooth on the chorus too.

Pretty dope, Esham definitely shines the brightest on this one. I have to wonder when this was recorded, since VJ is rapping in the style he was using around the time of the psypher that debuted Ouija. I also can’t honestly believe that VJ would put his name on another SV track considering the hardcore dissing they’ve done on his children, wife & self when the group consisted of just Esham & Lavel. If I were in his position I would of never worked with Esham again at all after that, but whatever, it’s his prerogative. I also think the song’s chorus could have been nicer if Shaggy would have mixed in some of his classic Mr. Club screams as well. Overall, pretty dope though, and I’m glad to have SV back. In fact, 2020 is gearing up to be a pretty exciting year for nostalgic ninjas like myself, with Psy revitalizing SV & MNE doing the same to Rydas (& maybe even Lotus?).
