As much as I prefer MNE and Strange to anything Psy has done or put out lately, I think this is a pretty cool idea. The tour and the studio opportunity.

It’s a very smart idea, but just watch 2020, Mne will have a record store day at their rented offices and artists can get a chance to record there!! Wonder where they got that idea?!!!!

Damn how much does it cost to go to the studio if 85 an hour is low?

    AdubOHJuggalo,

According to the website, Recording Conncection,

“Music studios vary greatly in quality and affordability. Booking time in a good professional studio can cost anywhere from $50 to $500 dollars an hour. Keep in mind you usually get what you pay for when it comes to recording studios.”

Also, if you adjust for inflation, $85 back then would be about $135 today.

This is ridiculously cheap. Someone is getting seriously fucked here. A professional studio engineer/producer, who is signed to a record label and/or has a reputation, should be charging more than $85ph for their services. Ey, not my business but I’m struggling to see how this is profitable for anyone. Its like someone offering you a steak for $3. Either they’re seriously selling themselves short and making an huge loss or corners are being cut. Good for anyone who takes up the opportunity but dont expect to get more than the bare minimum.

It’s called a sale. I’m sure if you went there any other time of year to record, it would cost more.

Thanks. I didn’t know it was “called a sale”. The point of a sale is to still make profit. Even if the profit margin is lower, you never want to make a loss. Otherwise you are paying for people to record in your studio.
