2020 just became more sinister! Nearly 15 years has passed since iconic Texas Gothic emcee Shy One first announced his long awaited LP “The Door”. Fans were treated to a dark and twisted Alice In Wonderland “Good Nyte” album promo and an album flyer announcing guest appearances by Lord Infamous RIP (Three 6 Mafia) Dalima (Tech N9ne’s Worldwide Choppers), Kingpin Skinny Pimp (unsung hero of Memphis, Tennessee hip-hop ), and Atlanta, Georgia underground champion King Sandman. But then the album unexpectedly became shelved. Years passed as silence ensued behind its release. . Many assumed Shy One moved on and fans finally accepted the harsh reality that they may never get to hear anymore new material from “The Door”.

Today the underground hip-hop community were musically shocked beyond belief this morning, when suddenly out of nowhere Shy One’s official social media pages dropped a brand new video/single (his first in over five years) simply titled “Box”. Inside the video description Shy One announced the release date for “The Door” and it will officially drop this Friday on the 13th! HOLY SHIT! Is this some hidden prophetic message towards the end of the world?! Only time will tell! But we do know the “Box” video itself is bound to leave horror fans breathless due to its original nightmarish fairy tail approach. Beautifully shot by Shy One himself! No word on an official track-listing or new revamped album art. But let’s all just be happy that Shy One will finally be releasing “The Door” and bump “Box” loud and proud in the graveyard tonight!
