Yet another Psychopathic business idea that Strange Music has followed suit on (but you won’t hear Tech or Travis admit it). Psy made Hatchet House to sign artists with smaller fanbases to see if they can rise through the ranks. Now Strange and Mne have both done what Psy did. Jamie, Paul, Tech and Travis should write a letter thanking Psychopathic for all the great inspiration.

Wasn’t ICP on Hollywood records back in the day? A sub label created by Disney where they had artists not suitable for their flagship label? Could there by any way that maybe the idea of “Hatchet House” itself is unoriginal to PSY and everybody else for the last half a century or so?

No, Hollywood records wasn’t created for the same reason Hatchet House was.

Historically sub labels were created as a way for a major label to either diversify their fan base or to “test the waters” with new acts. I had always just assumed Hatchet House was created for that reason but I have never actually seen psychopathic say that so I may very well be mistaken.

No you’re pretty much accurate, I’m not saying ICP invented the sub label, I’m saying they created a sub label for a specific reason and now Mne and Strange have both created a sub label for the same reason. I’m just pointing out that MnE and Strange are both HEAVILY influenced by Psychopathics business model.
