Memorial Show for Juggalette Sarah P., January 30th, Newark, OH

Juggalos and Juggalettes, it’s with a heavy heart that we here at FLH announce the passing of Juggalette Sarah Perine, or Sarah P, from Gambrier, Ohio. Sarah passed on into Shangri-La at 31 years of age after a longtime battle with respiratory issues, just before the holidays. Rest in Peace to our Juggalo Sister Sarah, and we here at FLH send all condolences and blessings of the mighty Dark Carnival to those who knew and loved her best.

Here is Sarah P’s official obituary, as sent in by her close homie Miss Cyanide:

Sarah Marlene Perine, 31, of Gambier, passed away Monday, December 21st, at Knox Community Hospital. Born in Canton on July 5, 1989, a daughter of Mary Katherine (Elward) Perine and Lester Lee Perine. Preceded in death by maternal grandparents Martha and Paul Camp; paternal Grandpa Lester Perine, uncle Kevin Elward and unborn angel child. Sarah not only worked as a direct service provider for the developmentally disabled at Creative Foundations and Res Care but also loved and advocated for her clients. Besides her parents she is survived by 2 sisters Heather (Rich) Chikosky, Kassandra Elward; brother Shane (Kaitlyn Burleson) Perine, all of Canton; grandma Marlene Perine; fiancé Kenny Davis; step daughter Olivia Sullivan as well as 5 nieces, 3 nephews, step father Daniel Bifano and many cousins and friends.

In addition, Miss Cyanide shared the following personal note about her sister Sarah:

What can I say about such an amazing person? This woman worked two jobs to support her family. She put others first before her own health most of the time. She was a sweet, caring, loving person, even so much that it was her profession as a caregiver. Sarah worked for Creative Foundation and Res-Care. She had many clients whose lives she impacted, along with many co-workers. Sarah was a character—no lie, she could make anyone laugh. She was full of fun and surprises. Sarah was a true free spirit of the Dark Carnival. She was such a clown, with a huge heart. She loved the Gathering! Oh my God, did she love being there, just like any of us would, and its sad ‘cause she is one homie you hope to see at future Gatherings and now she won’t be there. Things will not be the same but we have to remember her spirit is with us in those moments. Its been a painful journey for her husband Kenny (Lurch) Davis and her stepdaughter Olivia Sullivan—she was such an important part of both these souls. Sarah came into Lurch’s life like an angel, and she brought such great energy and shine into both him and his daughter’s lives. They shared many amazing moments that involved the underground scene, many shows and gatherings. Sarah’s mother Katherine is experiencing the worst fears any parent doesn’t want to face. They are still trying to raise money to finish paying for the funeral expenses. It’s heartbreaking to know the pain of how her loss has affected her family, leaving behind sisters and a brother who cared so much about her. It’s still an everyday shock thinking she going to be here and she’s not—or maybe she was just running late from work—but then we realize she won’t be coming at all. It’s horrible and it’s a nightmare no family wants to face, and they have to face it sadly during the holiday season—what’s supposed to be a wonderful time of year about family.

Sarah’s stepdaughter Olivia had this to say about her stepmom, which Miss Cyanide shared with us:

On my bad days at school, I would come home and tell Sarah about my day and she would listen to me. She was a good listener, and she also would tell me how to deal with my problems. Sarah was also a good babysitter. I cherish all the things that Sarah did and everything she gave me. I’m glad to have my Baby Yoda she got me for Christmas. I can sleep with it and always think of her. A fun memory I will always have of her is her sticking out her tongue for pictures.

Miss Cyanide’s musical group Lethal Injexion is hosting an event called Sing for Sarah P. to help raise donations for Sarah’s funeral expenses and family. The event will be held on Jan. 30th, 2021, 386 W Main Street, Newark, OH 43055. Doors open at 6:30pm, with a $10 cover charge. Here is the flyer for the event, featuring performances by JBizR, Jay Villain, Lethal Injexion, Ace YGM, Swill Speakz, Murder Clique, Swiff Sounds, Alphabettik, and Raigner:

We here at Faygoluvers wish Sarah P’s closest homies and family all the very best, until we meet again in Shangri-La. Be well, be safe, and take care of each other homies.

Much Clown Love.
