Not sure (i can’t believe I’m saying this) but i think Mikey is just as pissed about the bags as we all are. Fact: In the November 17, 2016 edition of the hatchet herald it was announced that Psychopathic Records new in-house engineer is Native World Inc.’s own artist Str8Jaket.
Fact: ICP announced a shitload of music for 2020, and suddenly delayed it.
Fact: Str8jaket (as well as ABK) start getting heavy involved with MNE projects.
Fact: After those projects came out, J specifically cited Str8jaket leaving the label was a big factor in album delays.

Speculation: Violent J got mad and fired him for producing a track for MNE.

I deal in facts, only. My thought though, is I think ICP should stop trying to run a label the way they ran 20 years ago. Ouija Macc has had like 2 albums a year with diff producers and engineers, and they sound fine and do well in sales. ICP needs to get like that and stop worrying about who else their producer/engineer works with. Just pay them for their work and then send them off to do their thing.

I super agree with that, however icp is a completely different musical style. I don’t think they would ever on a million years use a Devereaux beat on a regular ep or lp because they want to promote themselves and everyone knows that he throws his name in every beast he makes. It makes sense for icp to purchase beats but then tweak them to fit their needs with a steady “in house” producer. They aren’t the mixtape type. It is super weird that Str8jacket “left” right after the Christmas mne tracks were announced to the public. It has also been publicly stated that a lot of the 2020 albums and projects were scraped or postponed because of covid. Though i still remember when j announced at the gathering one year that vanilla ice officially signed to psy. It just shows that just because something is stated doesn’t make it fact. Mmfwcl to you for keeping it real though homie.
