Im sure theres a market for this but its not me. I cant take Monoxide seriously, doing this type of music. Doesnt feel natural. I hope there are people who really like this though because they clearly put a lot of effort into this sound… Its a “no” from me though.

I actually wished Mono’s part would’ve gone on a little longer, but I like this track. Might actually preorder this album, even though I was not convinced after “Cork Screw”.

It’s like they keep searching for some magical combo of rock & rap. Slipknot and about 100 other groups including themselves did it better 20 years ago.

    That wasn’t cringey at all……………….
Marilyn Monoxide/Monoxide Manson should’ve just stayed home. This is not my type of music, but the guy who I assume is in a real rock band is the only 1 that sounded like he belonged in that song. Fr fr twz sounded like they were trying waaaaay too fuckin hard

Yeah but with the greatest respect, you’re biased as fuck so you would say that.

Indeed I am and I hold no bones about it. However, I consider myself a fair person, and if this song was dope I would fr say something like “hey even tho they been pissing me of they made somthing dope” or something like that. It pisses me off actually that past few yrs not only have their attitudes become shitty, but so is their music. In another post somebody said twz has lost their creativity, and I agree. This isn’t the same twz many of us grew up w and I think we can all agree on that

Too poppy for my taste. Or too cliche. I think it’d be much cooler for them to visit more hardcore genres of rock or go back to the industrial/nu metal sound from earlier in their career. I even actually liked the emo pop/pop punk sound on Generation Nightmare.

The only thing I can complain about on creativity is how pretty much every song Mono is trying to convince himself that the haters are just jealous and they don’t get to him. Lyrically they are far more creative than they’ve ever been though, and Madrox is still as creative as ever.

You guys with the “they’ve gone rock/just want to appeal to the warped tour crowd” do realize they put out FOUR rap albums in the last year. Electric Lettuce, Revelashen, Songs of Samhain, Mad Season… This rock stuff isn’t new either. They have toyed with rock sound since Freek Show. And for those stuck in the “Rap/Rock sounded better 20 years ago” phase need to take off your nostalgia blinders. That shit was goofy, corny, and adolescently crude. Cause that’s how the 90’s/early 2000’s was.

I do think they are trying to be included in the warped tour crowd, but I also think they’re genuinely making music that they want to make.

I think backxwash is exploring the sounds that I always wanted Twiztid to toy with.
