Id be genuinely interested to know how much you’d have to pay for Faygoluvers to write an article about a release like this and put it on their main page, like its some big project that everyone’s been waiting for. I had a look on the “advertise with us” page but it doesnt look like its something they openly offer. Theres no way that some of these articles are written out of love.

I always thought artists would view these feature opportunities as a way to advertise their wares. I would imagine its worth putting everything into these kind of verses because it tells anyone whos thinking about giving you a couple thousand dollars for a verse, that its worth it. Imagine you were an amateur rapper thinking that a Shaggy 2 Dope verse would be a good investment, then you hear this… In regards to the advertising, I dont think the site has the foot-fall to warrant it these days. Maybe 10-15 years ago but not now. This Politicize guy has really gone all out though. Offering special edition packs of his album and really doubling down on this shaggy verse as the thing thats really gonna sell his project. Must have spent a fortune on this album and he will never make it back. That shaggy verse aint gonna make you a superstar, Bro. My crystal ball says you’ll learn a hard lesson on this one.

Honestly im not sure why all the negative comments as if shaggy set the bar high for himself in the first place lol this is his standard do a verse in 1 take and whatver happens, happens. He’s never been a good rapper and this isn’t his worst work, don’t get me wrong, its fukn terrible but standard shaggy verse. Put it up against 90% of his work and it compares. His best work is on his solo projects and the rare verse of fire on ICP/Lotus stuff. I rarely recall every saying Shaggy killed that track. I can literally name all his good verses off the top of my head and its a short list. The beat was dope though, could have been a banger.

I cometely agree with what you’re saying in regards to expectations. I don’t think anyone is in this for either J or Shaggy’s lyrical prowess. I would argue with anyone who claimed ICP were wordsmiths in any sense of the word but this is next level bad imo. I think shaggy on Black Rain (top tier alcoholic shaggy) was better than this.

Hmmm a worse shaggy verse than this…… Theres a few to choose from but one that stands out the most to me from “Hatchetman” with the whole PSY roster from that era on it. If you can find me a worse verse than his I’ll be shocked. Forward to 1:00.
