   Rating: “******” (Fire/Flames) J. Payne came strong with this song and its relatable to anyone who’s been there. So keeping the video simple and allowing only the performer himself to be the focal point is what makes this video such a bomb-assed effort!

   And yes, the song has a heavy religious theme, but religion told from a person’s perspective and not from an agenda, is always a dope thing to do; it shows respect for other people’s religious beliefs while reinforcing your own. Mad props for that!

   What grabbed my attention the most though, was J. Payne’s execution: Angry but also calm; something in-between the two. The music sounds a little sad or down, but his voice is confident because he is enlightened. He knows that despite everything else, he still grew up to be a good man. And that is the message that people like him (and me) always need to hear! Grade: A++. 🐰
