Now,I am a big Die Hard fan.The og one is one of the best action films of all time imo.The sequel was ok but wasn't great.Die Hard 3 I thought brought the series back on track with Sam Jackson and it was great. Then Live Free or Die Hard came out.Its was PG-13 and the studio was playing it safe and it didn't feel like a Die Hard movie, but it wasn't bad,it worked, just wish it was rated R.At least we have the unrated version. Now we have Die Hard 5 with an R rating again. Now, I walked out of this movie because it was so bad and got my $ back plus 2 free tickets cuz they fucked up and instead of playing Die Hard we were watching Beautiful Creatures, which is lame as fuck too.Die Hard 5 is the worst of the series, not even feel like a Die Hard film, let alone not even a good action film. The acting, direction, cinematography, story, everything was shit.Seems to me that studios dont care anymore if they make a good movie cuz people will watch it either way cuz of the name of the film.I see this with all remakes and sequels and it just sucks that they dont care about the integrity of film anymore and just the end result;$$$…I  see a trend here, not just movies but with music, videogames,tv or products we buy.Everything is cheap and made shitty so in a few months you have to buy another just so they can make more $$.Im tired of it,and sick of spending $$ on shit.Does anyone else feel this way too????Hooray for capitalism…

in america, we vote with our dollars.

so, good lookin out there, getting your money back.  thats capitalism in action.

myself, i gave up on the cinema a long time ago.  of course, i think that most the theaters around me are weak, so even a good movie isnt worth the money.

i figure any movie worth a shit, im gonna see eventually.

[edit]  sucks whats become of die hard.  idve been happy with just the first movie, alone.  on the whole, i agree with your assessment, except that i didnt think live free 4.0 or whatever worked.  havent heard anything good about the new one.

what this is, is one of those 'be careful what you wish for' things.  like indiana jones n shit.

  awfully paranoid, arent you?

Im right there with ya dope. Loved the old school ones, but live free and die hard left a lot to be desired. Personally I loved the premise of the movie. The whole "fire sale" terrorist threat is a pretty scary thing to think about. Kind of like the group "anonymous" but with plans of world destruction. I don't think I'm gonna go see this one. Thinking about seeing django unchained tonight. I've heard a lot of good things about that one

Ya man, I always get my $$ back if the movie sucks,or I'll walk into another movie. The theatre I go to costs $5 in the morning.Went and saw Haunted House, really shitty movie by the way, but had funny parts.Walked out and watched Texas chainsaw 3d and was even worse. So ya im tired of watching shitty movies. I agree with scruff.I have given up on going to the movies anymore man.It costs so much damn $ now.Its on dvd quick, rent cheap or stream it online for free.I like watching in the theatres cuz of the big, screen and good surround sound.Just not worth it anymore unless its Django Unchained, really good movie by the way.Recently saw Argo, its an amazing film.Flight was really good too, but movies like that anymore are few and far between.

Some movies do deserve to be seen on a big screen. I went and saw Dark Knight Rises in IMAX when it first came out, and was completely immersed. It made the movie seem fucking epic. I do agree with yall though. Most movies nowadays aren't worth it, and you have to sign away your first born child to get a large coke or a popcorn. It's like fucking gathering prices at the movies

I said Die Hard 4 worked cuz I just saw Die Hard 5.When I watched Live Free or Die Hard I didnt think it worked as a Die Hard movie. Was too tame and the tone was off. After watching this piece of shit,Die Hard 4 doesnt look so bad.laugh

ya he is played out.He has some cool movies though.I like some Statham movies like Crank and the Bank Job was good.Didn't like the Transporter ones. Not many good action movies anymore,I liked Dark Knight Rises but thought it was the weakest one of the 3 imo. After Dark Knight, its hard to top that movie, but im just comparing it.I really liked Nolans Inception.Love movies that make you think instead of random shit exploding.

It's kinda hard to compare for me. For me heath ledger as the joker was the single greatest performance I have ever seen on screen. I'm a movie fiend so that is saying a lot. There are very very few actors that can match the talent and diversity of heath. On the same token I have great respect for people who sacrifice their bodies for the craft, like tom hanks in "cast away". Look at christian bale in 'the machinist" compared to him in "Batman Begins".

I agree dude,Heath as the Joker was amazing and I really liked Jack as Joker in the Tim Burton one,I thought he couldn't top him,but Heath did.Do you watch Its Always Sunny? The guy that plays Mac,Rob Mcelhenney, also creator of the show,he gained 50 lbs for season 7 cuz he thought that it would be funny to have a character devolving instead of usual characters on tv that start to look better as the show goes on.But ya Bale in Machinist was good same with cast away.Robert De Niro put on 60 lbs for Raging bull.
