that "pussy consumption" scene was such a good "metaphor" for fallin in love, especially with a hoe, haha..
the bone orchard/dream scenes were cool but the prisoners' story-line was kinda slow.. and not that fresh of a climax/ending..
some stuff was predictable i.e. wife cheating, devilish hoe.. the graphic fight/battle scene towards the beginning was dope tho..
it was a cool debut episode, i'll prob watch the next ep. as well.. i'll give it a 3.5/5 as if i know a fuckin thing about tv, haha..

I wished they spent more time in prison. In the novel it seems more pensive. But they had to get to the funeral bit.
Episode two was fucking amazing. Anansi at the beginning, chernobog at the end. Cloris delivering her lines flawlessly. The only let down for me was Gillian Anderson didn't sound enough like Lucy to me.

Psyral & I are about to watch the latest 2 episodes to catch up. Visually I think it's the best series I've ever seen; the carousel scene is almost exactly what I envisioned when I read the book.

season 2 is a little weaker than season 1 so far because the show runner left and so did Gillian Anderson and the short girl who played ostara
and if you want a visually amazing series to watch try AMC's into the badlands that show just looks beautiful

I agree; seen most of the episodes multiple times, sometimes with the sound off. It had me at Sunny riding his motorcycle thru poppy fields.

Basquiat...and her lady parts universe for the win!
In all honesty, the metaphorical representations in the show have been stellar.
In season one, when Media was dressed as Bowie I almost lost my shit. That was an awesome nod to the Original god of strange. RIP.
