anyone else excited for the new HALLOWEEN???

as a huge fucking Halloween fan I started to realize how fucking lame rob zombie’s Halloween movies were, don’t get me wrong the cinematography is great, the direction is great except for Michael’s backstory…fuck! I can’t get that shit out of my mind, I hate rob’s Halloween movies now!, although he did a good job with the mask, I like the look of the mask in his movies but… the murders were awesome, but I just can’t Love those movies anymore, when they first came out I liked them but as I watched them over and over again… it just made me appreciate John Carpentar’s original way more, and part 2! … those are my favorite Halloween movies! and I got to meet Daniel Harris from 4 and 5 which was a dream come true, holy shit, that girl is fine as fuck, it was so awesome meeting her

anyway I’m really looking forward to the new shit… trailer still hasn’t been released as far as I know, but there’s an image of the new mask, it looks kind of similar to Rob Zombie’s but from What I hear from insiders is the trailer is bloody and gory as fuck. I can’t wait

I’m lookin forward to it. I really dig zombie’s take also, especially the 2nd one because he didn’t have to stay true to any type of storyline like with the first.

Just saw Halloween. I wasn’t expecting much going in, but IMO this entry in the series was probably the worst one yet. Not gonna spoil anything and if anyone here plans to see it I would like to hear what you think.

Completely corny (not in a good Halloween way) and over acted. Way too many un-needed comedic scenes also. How Jamie Lee Curtis signed on for this is beyond me, but her character might have been the biggest letdown. Least menacing Michael to date. He came across as more of a human than a perceived “supernatural” maniac. The kills were pretty much all the same and lacked any suspense.

There were a few throwback nods to the original Halloween II, but this also completely throws some of the main backstory from the 1st out the window.

2/10 stars because there was a 5min interesting plot twist that could have somewhat saved this film about 3/4 of the way through, but it only lasted that 5min and then it picked back up with the mediocre like that plot twist never happened.

Not a movie I can picture watching for the hundredth time 10yrs from now on AMC like all the others in the series.

And before the previews started, there was literally like a 3min anti-marijuana add that played. The whole theater booed when it was over lol.

My main issue with the whole series has to do with the inconsistent storytelling.  Not to say they aren’t entertaining, because they absolutely are.  But

Spoiler Alert (for movies that are 30-40 years old):

1st movie.  He’s a normal human.  He gets shot in the chest 6 times and walks away from it.  I can suspend my disbelief by thinking that he was turned into swiss cheese without hitting anything instakill.

2nd movie.  He gets shot point blank in BOTH eyes (you brain is behind there btw) and is burned to a crisp.

3rd movie.  The ending from the second movie was legit.  He’s gone.  On to a new Halloween story.  Weird as shit, but ok.  First one is about a guy who escapes a mental asylum and kills people.  Second one is about the same guy on the same night continuing his quest.  3rd one is about some evil mask makers who steal a rock from Stonehenge and ship it to their mask factory in California where they are putting fragments of the stone into cheap halloween masks so that when children hear a remix of “London Bridge Is Falling Down” at a specific time on Halloween, it will kill them, snakes and crickets will come out of their head, and the carnage will unleash Samhain.  Mkay.  And:

4th movie.  Michael’s back because for some reason, that attempt at a story for #3 didn’t jive with a lot of people.  Wonder why?  So he’s not explained to be a zombie.  I guess he received new skin and the bullet hole wounds in his eyes healed while Conal Cochran was trying to kill people with masks and the sherrif was chancing statutory rape charges.

Next 3:  the writing and casting, man.  Fun to watch, but WTF am I watching?

H20: Stupid, but fun.

Last one in that series: Busta Rhymes, yo.  He poked Michael in the face and swore at him and lived.  That takes skill.

Zombie Remakes: Nope.

So I am interested in seeing this one just to see how weird they make the story.

well I saw the fucking movie…

it was cool, I was drunk as fuck though, The beginning scene is kind of corny lol only because of the chess (black and white) checkered floor… haha! what the fuck? What mental institution would have that kind of “yard” where the crazy inmates are locked in those stupid squares in chains like that?? haha that was so fucking dumb…

other than that bullshit, I thought the movie was fucking decent. I Liked it, I was expecting some bullshit ’cause they said it ignored the sequels but they didn’t even really have an affect at all… I’m a big fan of Halloween 2 and I was expecting to call some bullshit with the story line but other than Michaels face not being totally burned… they didn’t really mention part 2 at all so it did seem like it was right after Part 1 and shit even 2… I wasn’t complaining at all, ’cause to me it could of took place after part 2! in my opinion

but after the funky beginning haha I thought it was a solid Halloween movie, I got drunk when I watched it and kind of tripped out and had fun at certain parts, it was awesome, definitely give this movie a watch!… and yeah it’s better than the Rob Zombie movies in my opinion – what I hated about rob’s movies was that fucking kid in part 1… that shit is boring as hell, ya gotta fast forward past that if you wanna watch the rob zombie version, at least in my opinion. I hate kids!
