Dope! Thanks, lots I haven't seen in your lists yet. The ones I've seen out of them

Curse of Chucky - Enjoyed it a lot - Chucky was creepy again. Sneaky little fucker.

Evil Dead - Fun stuff! Went in expecting to hate hate hate hate....but I was wrong

Lords of Salem - Right from the start I was wondering what all the hate was about and really started to get into it. Had amazing visuals but confused the shit out of me. The ending was garbage. I read Rob said a lot of people were confused but the non dvd theater version, was missing a lot of scenes that the dvd version would have to tie the story together. I watched it from a ONdemand digital cable box and have no idea what one it was. I hope Rob was right and I saw the theater version but not sure yet.

Texas Chainsaw - I liked this. Lots of huge flaws but I overlooked them for the enjoyable parts. Something I tried to do with Lords but the negative outweighed the bad in that.

American Mary - Love it! Love the Soska twins too!!! Eli helped this come together but thankfully he didn't splatter his name on the title.

Room 237 - Interesting shit. Should have included more on the moon landing stuff but there are even better videos on youtube for that.

ABC's of death - Meh!

The Bay - Didn't enjoy it at all. The best part was the news reporters ass! Cot damn!!!

Maniac remake is the first to watch on my list. It could never beat the original but I've been hearing great things. VHS after that - not sure how I haven't seen those yet. Then I gotta see that horse rape shit for sure!

The idea behind the human centipede movies never appealed to me but they seem pretty popular now. I'll probably cave in and check those out too.

Also, I loved Red State. I'm a big John Goodman and Michael Parks fan too. Km all about the terror beneath religious extremism.

Seems like a good idea. Already watched Tosh.O spend 30 minutes describing the whole thing - Probably more enjoyable than the movie itself.

Did you think Rob was trying to do something similar to what the old Italian horror films or Fulci did with City of the Living Dead, The Beyond, etc - with Lords? I got that vibe from watching it but it seriously lacked something those had to make you not even question what the story was - Or you almost thought of your own idea of what it was about for those. Lords left me with a big What the fuck while those left me wanting more.

ya i agree with you.He was trying to get that surreal dream like state like italian films did.Rob is  great visually like halloween/ part 2.He does great set pieces but his writing is what lacks plus his wife sucks at acting. If he had better actors and a better script i think he could make something really dope.Story was lacking in lords and moon as always but the visuals in the movie I would give it a recommendation just for that and the score was really good too, giving it a sense of dread whenever she spins that record.

Well said! Just imagine how amazing a movie of his would be if he hired some talented (but fucked up) writers - giving him even more time to perfect his gift for visuals on the project!

I understand his want to be a true auteur director. He could even come up with the story idea, and still get writer credit or "story by" in the credits, with other writers perfecting it.

Not as scary as when a movie rapes you. Some guy on Amazon commented on a movie I liked by saying that he felt raped after watching it. I'm glad it didn't rape me when I watched it.

Those French guys were dominating the game a few years back. I'm going to keep an eye out for those you mentioned. Already assumed Carrie would be shit. It's the second remake of it. As if remakes were original enough, they're now remaking, remakes.

VHS one and 2 were both dope. SINISTER with Ethan Hawke is the best horror flick I've seen in a long time. Also if you haven't seen the movie TRIANGLE, check it out, part horror/mindfuck. Also the original INSIDIOUS was awesome, way creepy.

I just wanna say the dialogue is one of my favorite things about a zombie film. Like Tarantino and Kevin Smith he has a very distinct and unique dialogue style where you can just tell its him. Also I dont care if sheri moon cant act. She doesnt even have to have lines just throw her in there and im happy.

Idk if its been mentioned but Kevin Smith is making a horror movie called Tusk that is gonna star Michael Parks. If yall havent seen red state go check it out. Parks gives a phenomenal performance as the head of the cooper family. Dude definitely deserved an award for that one
