WHAT WE KNOW:
The Characters
Allegiance: Crystal Gems
Steven Quartz Universe: Age 14. Son of Rose Quartz and Greg Universe. Half gem, half human hybrid.
Rose Quartz: Age unknown. Former leader of the Earth rebellion against Homeworld. Gave up physical form to birth Steven.
Garnet: Age 5300 (approximate). Fusion of Ruby and Sapphire. Fought in the rebellion.
Amethyst: Age unknown. Emerged from Prime kindergarten on Earth. Malformed, by Homeworld standards.
Pearl: Age 7000 (approximate). Former member of slave class of gems (Pearls). Fought in the rebellion. Loyal to Rose Quartz.
Ruby: Age unknown. Former Homeworld soldier. Madly in love with Sapphire. Rarely exists as singular entity.
Sapphire: Age unknown. Former Homeworld aristocrat. Madly in love with Ruby. Rarely exists as singular entity.
Peridot: Age unknown. Former Homeworld loyalist; defied Yellow Diamond and joined the Crystal Gems.
Lapis Lazuli: Age unknown. Present during rebellion. Loyal to Steven.
Bismuth: Age unknown. Fought in the rebellion. Revolted against Rose Quartz over means to victory. Currently bubbled.
Lion: Age unknown. A pink lion whose mane contains its own dimension. Can rend spacetime with a roar.
Opal: Fusion of Amethyst and Pearl. Easily pulled apart by stress.
Sugilite: Fusion of Garnet and Amethyst. Violent tendendies.
Sardonyx: Fusion of Garnet and Pearl. Exhuberant, jovial personality. Bae.
Alexandrite: Fusion of Garnet, Pearl, and Amethyst. Tendency towards self-destruction.
Rainbow Quartz: Fusion of Rose Quartz and Pearl.
Smoky Quartz: Fusion of Steven and Amethyst.
Allegiance: Earth (Allies)
Greg Universe: Age 40 (approximate). Human. Father of Steven Universe. Former musician. Became wealthy from royalties.
Connie Maheswaran: Age 12.75. Human. Steven's friend. Trained by Pearl in the art of swordfighting.
Stevonnie: Fusion of Steven and Connie. Literally perfect.
Allegiance: Homeworld
Yellow Diamond: Age unknown. One of three remaining matriarches of Homeworld. Wants to destroy Earth.
Yellow Pearl: Age unknown. Yellow Diamond's servant Pearl.
Blue Diamond: Age unknown. One of three remaining matriarches of Homeworld. Tried to have Ruby shattered after Garnet's genesis.
Blue Pearl: Age unknown. Blue Diamond's servant Pearl.
White Diamond: Age unknown. One of three remaining matriarches of Homeworld.
Pink Diamond: Age unknown. Supposedly shattered by Rose Quartz at the beginning of the rebellion.
Jasper: Age unknown; at least 5300. Homeworld loyalist. Loyal to Pink Diamond. Currently corrupted and bubbled.
Leggy, Army, Navy, Eyeball, and Doc: Age unknown; various. Five Rubies sent by Homeworld to retrieve Jasper. Nicknamed by Steven.
Malachite: Fusion of Lapis Lazuli and Jasper. Trapped at the bottom of the ocean by Lapis Lazuli's will until her defeat by Alexandrite.
Allegiance: Unknown
Centipeedle: Age unknown. Fought in the rebellion. Currently corrupted.
The Cluster: Homeworld experiment. Shards of shattered gems forced to fuse at center of Earth. Currently bubbled.
The Places
Earth:
Beach City: Seaside town in a yet-unnamed analogue of Delaware.
Empire City: Analogue to New York City.
Jersey: Analogue to New Jersey.
Keystone: Analogue to Pennsylvania.
The Temple: A magical temple built into an area of cliff outside of Beach City. Carved into the shape of a giant gem fusion. Where Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl reside.
Garnet's Room: Garnet's room within the temple. Where bubbled gems are kept.
Amethyst's Room: Amethyst's room within the temple. Full of literal garbage. Where the Slinker was last seen.
Pearl's Room: Pearl's Room within the temple. Houses a series of waterfalls, and a weapon collection.
Rose Quartz' Room: Rose Quartz' room within the temple. Can make manifest the desires of Rose Quartz and Steven.
The House: A house which was built onto the temple. Where Steven resides.
The Barn: A barn inherited by Greg from his aunt and uncle. Where Peridot and Lapis Lazuli reside.
Mask Island: An island covered in giant geodes. Home to the Watermelon Stevens.
Prime Kindergarten: A kindergarten on the east coast. Where Amethyst was grown.
Beta Kindergarten: A kindergarten on the west coast. Where Jasper was grown.
Moon:
Pink Diamond's Control Room: The base from whence Pink Diamond ruled the earth colony, before her demise.
Unknown:
Yellow Diamond's Control Room: The base from whence Yellow Diamond rules.
The Concepts:
Gems: Literal, sentient gemstones. Though they have physical, humanoid forms, it is regarded as an 'illusion.' Gems can regenerate their bodies if damaged, but damage to the gemstone is dire.
Poof: When a gem's body is damaged beyond sustainability, it disappears into the gem in a act coined by Steven as "poofing."
Reform: The act of a poofed gem recreating its destroyed body.
Corruption: When a gem suffers a psychological break, they devolve into feral beasts; in this state they are known as "corrupted" gems.
Fusion: When two or more gems become a singular entity. The result is reflective of the relationship of the constituent gems, and possesses an amalgamation of their combined physical and magical traits. A fused gem is also called a fusion.
Bubble: A magical bubble which can be used to house poofed gems, preventing reformation. To put a gem in a bubble is to bubble it.

What we know: You're a nerd.
Also that I am the other forum member who likes this show. Maybe there are others, though.
I give this show props for a few reasons. Its continuity is on fucking point, I feel like the pace of the story is actually really good, like we're learning what we need to when we need to, and the show is fucking ballsy, man. It touches on some real shit, yet it's a cartoon marketed toward children.

There's been an episode a day every weekday since mid-July, running from "Steven Floats" to "Know Your Fusion," which airs this Friday.

Practically a whole fucking season of that shit aired in one four week event. It's a lot to keep up with, but after all the hiatuses and shit, it's a nice change of pace.
It doesn't even feel like the same show as when it started, anymore. That ain't a complaint, though. I've been watching from the pilot and it's only improved since.

Little bitch is basically Magneto now, so she's cool on her own.
And besides, I doubt we've seen the last of Jasper. My prediction is that the chubby alien Jesus child will go get a degree in psychiatry and then mend the minds of all the corrupted gems, including Jasper. And by that point it will be revealed that Rose Quartz was actually Pink Diamond all along, and then so Steven would also be a Diamond, making him Jasper's lord and savior, basically, so she'll find her chill and probably reform.

I don't see how Steven/Rose could possibly be anything but Pink Diamond, even if Eyeball's testimony is ostensibly damning. I'll be hella disappointed if it turns out she really was just a Quartz soldier who shattered a bitch.
Although... it would really explain Pearl's slavish devotion, if Rose Quartz was the one who freed her from slavitude under the oppressive Pink Diamond.

Eyeball can't even tell the difference between an Amethyst and a Jasper, so when she says she witnessed Pink Diamond being shattered, I think it's fair to be skeptical.

Man, Rubies are dumb.
I cannot wait until Friday. I need to know what's gonna happen with Sardonyx. I keep seeing people talk about how she's going to be jealous of Smoky Quartz, and I don't know where they're getting that from. Wikipedia/TV Guide synopsis?
Either way, they never fully addressed what happened in the Week of Sardonyx. This will be the third time they've fused since Pearl fucked everything up in Cry for Help, and I don't feel like Friendship went far enough.
I mean, Garnet laid it out that Pearl betrayed her trust so profoundly that Ruby and Sapphire actually split up, and she told her she needed to get her shit together if Pearl ever wanted Garnet to trust her again, but it didn't really get to the crux of the issue, which is the reason Pearl felt the need to coerce Garnet into fusion by means of deception in the first place. It was basically the gem equivalent of a rape, and the "We need to get on this or we're going to die," talk they had doesn't cut it.
If Sardonyx is to be jealous of Smoky Quartz, I hope it's the catalyst needed for her to reevaluate herself and the relationship she represents, and for Garnet and Pearl to tackle the issue head-on and figure out what it is they want from each other.
Hopefully Pearl is beginning to finally move on from Rose after the events in Mr. Greg, and perhaps she'll finally have a healthy, reciprocal relationship.
Either that, or the Crewniverse will continue to jerk me around. Why does the existence of my favorite character have to hinge on Madame Unhealthy and Two Midgets in an Autistic Trenchcoat?

We'll just have to wait a couple days and see, but you've pretty much gotten everything else you ever wanted out of this show, so why not that, too? But you know, Pearl can't fuck up worse than she already did, and I just can't imagine she would, or even could, repeat her mistakes. I can't imagine anything but something positive coming from Sardonyx at this point in the game.
Also, the fuck you trying to say about Garnet?
