Which ones have you peeped? The Dark Tower is important to such coinciding works as Salem's Lot, The Stand, Eyes of the Dragon, The Talisman, Insomnia, and many more... it's fantastic.

started the stand once, i think.  none of the rest of those.

my uncle, who is a small king fan [more than me, anyway] is quick to say that salems lot is his only good book.  but hes read most of em...  feature that.

i know i actually finished it [the book.  'it'.  not salems lot].  i think i finished desperation, the only one i own.  read a load of short stories.

and then theres a buncha books that i put down somewhere around halfway through em.

I tried to read "Cell" last year, put it down about halfway and have no intention to ever finish it. It didn't catch me.

'Salem's Lot... man its been over 20 years since I read that. I remember it being actually scary at one point.

Funny story about that book. My dad's fourth wife, this spiteful old wench, used to earn sidecar from selling Ebay shit. That was her passion.

I had my mom's old ass copy of 'Salem's Lot, still in great condition with the slipcover and such. My brother and I looked it up on ebay for kicks, eating bowls of chili and giggling. Turns out that the copy was rare and was selling for $1,200 on ebay.

My dad's wife heard our excitement. She came over,, smoking a cigarette, and observed our excitement at the treasure we'd found. She said nothing, took a few drags from behind us, and left.

I did further research and found out that the ISBN number in the book didn't match our copy, so it actually was not worth $1,200. More like, $6.00. Or something... either way, we laughed about the deal, and I went in for some more chili.  (Violent J just said "chili fries in 'Sleepwalker', right as I typed that word..weird)....

And was greeted with a big clump of cigarette ashes, atop my dinner.

That bitch was hating so hard about us selling that book for so much, she ashed in my food.

So for years after, we always said that if someone is raining on your parade, or just being a bad viber.. they are "ashing in your chili".

"Damn, that bitch really ashed in my chili today.."

Anyway, here are some stlls from the DT film shoot..

Tower fans, read this. If you have not read the stories, and do not want the (highly controversial) finale to the very, very, very long opus spoiled, then avoid.

I think this idea is genius. It solves a lot of the potential problems with bringing The Dark Tower story to the screen.

Horn of Eld. Redemption?

The filming for Dark Tower has wrapped. I'm ready for 2017.

I'm geeked about this and a little sad at the same time. I wanted a lord of the rings style epic for this because it's what it deserves. At the same time though it will be cool to see what they do with it. I'm not going to break out the pitchfork until I see the movie.

Still baffled at the choice for the man in black. Maybe he will crush it though. We will see I guess.

I do think that one dude will make a great Roland now that I've seen him in a few different things. Still think Josh Brolin would have made for a better choice. I was thinking about that while watching No Country for Old Men a few days ago.

i strongly feel that the "continuation of the series" angle is genius. GENIUS. Perhaps Roland will attain some sort of suitable redemption, after all those repeats. He may be able to sub-sub-sub-subconsciously avoid certain pitfalls, while falling into new ones, in his (FINAL?) journey.

Maybe him being a black man is him finally remembering the face of his father. Maybe the whole eternal damnation was him hating the fact that his father was black lol... sounds crazy but I think this is where they are going. Hord of Eld, bitch.

For you fans of "Stranger Things"....

http://moviepilot.com/posts/40.....n-season-2

The article is a bit overzealous but it's a neat idea.

Stranger Things was such a great show. I've rarely been as interested in a show, really.

The first thing that drew me to it was the font. I hadn't heard a single thing about it. Knew zero. But the font of "Stranger Things" was identical (in my mind) to "Needful Things" by Stephen King. I have yet to read that one, either. I just recall the font from observing the book at the old library as a kid.

Oh yeah, The Dark Tower is mentioned in that article. That's why I posted this.

I'd like to hear Eleven on a track by Seven.

I just watched the "leaked trailer" for the first time.. not usually my style, but it worked it's way into my YouTube with ease..

it looks awesome. A bit different from what we expected.. but it will all make sense, I promise you.

The Horn of Eld.

Up in this bitch, up in this bitch

My homie had been visiting here for about a month and just left, leaving me his little BOSE sound system. Glad he did, cus that shit made the DT trailer sound like my own personal theater.

So I was super hyped from the two "teaser trailers" last night that were 15 seconds.

Had trouble sleeping and awoke and figured I'd check out the new official trailer.

It didn't seem too interesting on my phone.

So just now I re-watched it on the basement TV with the Bose. I'm definitely more hyped.

It deviates from the original novel, as expected. Hopefully all of the ones interested know that this is a continuation or final round for Roland and co, not an actual movie version. I agree with this for several reasons, but I'm not willing to type it out on this cell.

But yeah, it will be good. Guaranteed. Hopefully it earns enough to continue to bring the series to it's usual storyline, however altered.

Some things that I don't want to lose from this potential franchise are:

- Eddie, Sushanna, Detta, Odetta, Oy, Father Callahan.

- Blaine the Mono.

- Tick Tock Man.

- The Man in Black's original palaver with Roland and the universe-hopping visuals.

- Ted Brautigan cameo.

- Shardik.

- A nice transition from Salems Lot to NYC for Callahan.

- Dandelo.... I dunno it's gonna be great if it survives, can't wait.

Hopefully Drawing of the Three is the closest to the book. Lobstosities, plane portals, naked mafia skyscraper shootouts...

How ya not gonna mention oy? He is the jelly to jakes peanut butter.

idk though, I wouldnt hold your breath on any of that shit appearing in the movie.

As long as there is some shit from Wizards and Glass thrown in there sometime in the future id be happy.

That book is so critical in showing you who Roland was and would become that you absolutely cannot leave it out.

From my understanding there is gonna be two movies at this point. I reckon they will see how this one does and go from there.

Im curious, if they do take from the drawing of the three in the next one, how they are gonna visualize him stepping through the doors into their heads.

Either way, ive been waiting on this movie for many years and this will be one i see opening night.

After letting popular movie reviewers bring down my spirits (not my proudest moment), I am biting the bullet and going to see The Dark Tower movie tonight. Soon I will see IT.

Fingers crossed.
