OK, so the guy is batshit crazy, let’s just get that out of the way first and foremost, but does any body feel that the recent trend of every major online platform pulling the guys content is kind of extreme and a severe attack on the first amendment, freedom of speech?
What ever happened to If you don’t like a channel..or radio station.. Don’t watch it?
The pulling of his content was over his allegations that the sandy hook school shooting was staged and the kids who died were allegedly actors.
Fuxked up, I know, but to pull his content all across the board because it offended a small group of people is kind of extreme and really indicative of this ultra P.C. environment we live in, and now to the point where freedom of speech is getting impeded upon.
I do not support the guy in any way, shape or form, but C’mon. If this is where we are headed where does it really end?
Any thoughts?

I was really into Alex Jones back in the mid 2000’s with the whole 9/11 was an inside job, Loose Change doc, Bohemian Grove, the fucking intergalactic child molesters, and all the other crazy shit he talked about. But now he’s just not my kind of flavor anymore, but that in no means I think he should have all his content striped off the interwebs. That’s sum buuullshit, crappin all over the 1st amendment!
Did he do something illegal?
There’s anything and EVERYTHING on the fuckin internet. How you gonna just rob this dude..?? I dunno….but I don’t really care either to tell you the truth. I LOVE a great conspiracy tho! The internet is made up of millions of businesses. Every single .com is some store or bar or skate park. None of them are required to provide you or anybody else a platform. Just last night, someone came and spammed fly with garbage and this morning it was gone.
Alex Jones was basically the drunk asshole who had to be kicked out of the bar for starting fights. Because of his propaganda, people have targeted the families of victims in high profile shootings and harassed them into relocating and hiding.
The solution then is either we nationalize Facebook, YouTube, etc. Giving the government control and return his pages or we let businesses decide for themselves who has access to their product.

P.S. Noah, the source link you provided mentions pending lawsuits with allegations, but it seems nothing has yet been proven about things like harassment or families going into hiding. Innocent until proven guilty still holds in America even if Commiefornia is trying to erase it from history. U were right about one thing, though:

You realize innocent until proven guilty means he can’t be incarcerated or killed or fined for allegations against him. It doesn’t have anything to do with me telling people what he did.
Also, the allegations are that he knowingly provoked the harassment, his claim that he’s just a comedic act and wasn’t intentionally inciting harassment doesn’t argue against the fact that these people have been harassed by his fans, just that only an idiot would take him as real.

Colin can do what he wishes anytime. Once at work, like all employees, he is subject to follow the rules of the company. He is still free to not follow those rules and is free to get fired or his contract not renewed for not following the rules. His protest is protected by free speech. He will not be held criminally responsible for his protest. But his employer is free to terminate his contract for breaking actual written rules that were in place when he was hired.
I am fine with Colin’s protests. He is exercising his freedom but it does not prevent his boss from taking action due to Colin’s actions while “on-the-clock” during work.
With anti-gay bakers. They reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. They are not bound by the same laws as government service providers. They can say whatever hateful things they wish. AND I can choose to go to a baker who isn’t bigoted. (And why would I want to eat anything made by someone who dislikes or hates me)
I think first amendment applies to Colin and the “bigot bakers”. I will support their right to do what they have done but I don’t like what either has done. … Actually with Colin, I could care less since I never watch any sports. With the bakers, I support their right to refuse service as they see fit, but I will not patronize an establishment that actively refuses service to gays. I’ll take my business elsewhere.

As for Alex Jones, he has the right to say what he wants. I defend that right. The government will not stop him. I will not stop him. The private sector, though, may do so and seems to be doing so. While I don’t know all the facts in his particular instance, I have heard arguments that because federal judges have ruled in several cases that certain social media is to be considered public forum and the company running the social platform service can not restrict content but the patrons of such platform can individually restrict (block/mute) a particular persons content. There have been other federal judges who have ruled exactly opposite.
He is not the first person to have this happen to them, but with the recent allegations of social media companies “shadow-banning” or “QFD-banning” primarily conservative accounts as we approach mid-term elections, it is sparking conversations up and down all levels of government about coordinated suppression of the speaking of particular political ideas.
I have been subject to shadow-banning and am now currently under a QFD ban. It sucks. I can say anything I want on Twitter and no one will see it. I just tweet into the void. The issue is that the algorithm has ensnared conservative politicians and a handful of libertarian politicians who are now in the same boat. It is even hitting conservative and libertarian media personalities but surprisingly not any liberal media personalities. Because it has affected politicians, laws are being scrutinized.
