Continuing in the spirit of Anatoly Fomenko's new chronology, we have a French author who speaks and writes in English, also taking a stab at ancient Greence. Sylvain Tristan.

Ancient Greece is one of the most fascinating cultures of antiquity. It is supposed to have flourished under the Mediterranean sun about 2,500 years ago.
Now what if you were told that Ancient Greece were not as ancient as conventional history claims it does? What if Greek chronology was considerably wrong?
In a dizzying, revolutionary book that will make you travel both across the Med and through the centuries, you will learn that "Classical" Greece may have occurred less than a millennium ago, and might have been influenced by Vikings, Persians, Arabs and Mongols.
Was Homer truly a member of the Saint Omer clan—Frankish knights who invaded Greece in the 13th century? Was the Parthenon built as late as the 14th century AD? And was Plato truly Pletho, a 15th-century philosopher?
Sylvain Tristan's subversive hypothesis might overturn your certainties about what you think you knew of the Ancient World. Will you be bold enough to join the paradigm-shifting ride?
In this book the author presents substantial evidence that Medieval Greek history appears to duplicate Ancient Greek History in many ways and suggests possible explanations for such a duplication, but restrains himself from drawing final conclusions, rather inviting the reader to solve the mystery themselves.

Just finished The Boys omnibus V1. By far the most raunchy and fucked up comic I've ever read. I love it. Not recommended for people who are easily offended lol.

Just finished the Walking Dead graphic novel series the other night. I never read them an issue at a time, I'd wait until they put together the compendiums that are about 50 issues each and there ended up being 4 of them. I liked it a lot. The TV show was enjoyable for the first 3-4 seasons or so but I eventually stopped watching and didn't care. But the graphic novel series is never boring and was really enjoyable.
You guys have any recommendations for graphic novels? Ideally I'd pick up a compilation of some kind and not one-off issues. I'm not so much into the super hero stuff these days, more into the horror stuff but am open to whatever's good.

I wouldn't ever claim to be a huge graphic novel expert, but my mother-in-law got me this one for xmas once and I thought it was good.
Back to books, I finished this one about a month ago. Four chapters: Apples, Tulips, Cannabis and Potatoes. Sounds boring but I was fascinated with most of it, particularly Apples.

Reading CONSPIRATORS' HIERARCHY: THE STORY OF THE COMMITTEE OF 300 published in 1992 while contemplating how trill the next Joker's Card will be. Here's a sample from this timelord of an author:
..."Euthanasia for the terminally ill and the aged shall be compulsory. No cities shall be larger than a predetermined number... At least 4 billion "useless eaters" shall be eliminated by the year 2050 by means of limited wars, organized epidemics of fatal rapid-acting diseases and starvation. Energy, food and water shall be kept at subsistence levels for the non-elite... until the world's population reaches a manageable level of 1 billion..."
