7 Detroit breweries creating Faygo beer flavors for Fall Beer Festival
Detroit Free Press said:
Traffic Jam and Snug is making a Redpop kettle sour. Founders Detroit is making Scotch Cherry Whoop Whoop, inspired by Rock n Rye — a rye scotch ale with dark cherry and vanilla. Eastern Market Brewing Co. is making a Moon Mist IPA. Brew Detroit is making Cotton Candy Berliner weisse. Detroit Beer Co. has created a 60/40 Radler. Atwater is brewing a Double Dirty Blonde with Faygo Orange and coriander. And Batch Brewing Co. seems to be going the extra Detroit mile with its Better Made Grape FayGose, using the Detroit-based potato chips in the beer as well.

I'll try to convince the brewery I work at to make a Shasta beer to compete. It'll probably be an IPA. We make too many IPAs.

would that actually be competition? cuz faygo owns shasta. or shasta owns faygo. or both of em are owned by somebody else.
i forget how it works, but the point is, its all comin from the same pipes.

No, the breweries. Though personally a soda infused beer doesn't sound too good. Sounds gimmicky. And even then our brewery is in the top 40 in the US which has 8,000+ breweries so we're probably already beating them.

I like those "Not Your Father's/Mother's" beers, that would be a good base for Faygo beers.

I can only have it on tap anymore cuz it fills my gut too quickly otherwise. On tap its 10% abv though
