Aight so, a while back I was instagram, I follow a bunch of Juggalos, and I saw a post to the effect of.

"Juggalos born in the 2000s aren't juggalos"

It seemed like a joke, but I mean, there's prolly people who think that, so even if he was kidding, you just know that somebody thinks that. 

That's an oddly specific example, but I find that people that are in the minority in a group of people (sometimes very literally) will almost always get gatekept in some way. Here's some notes of mine.

Young looking people repping the hatchet will get quizzed on random shit, some getting so obscure that I could see some of their original fans not even getting.

Like, some asshole was like "name an inner city posse song" I answered insain like, but, dude wtf, why is that important? 

Girls and black people (the one less mentioned) who wear Slayer or Metallica shirts will always be put on the spot and asked for an arbitrarily long list of songs. 

Trannies, any feminine looking guys, or any girl that doesn't look butch as fuck, who claim to be metalheads will immediately get a judgmental ass look followed by "oh yeah, do you listen to (insert 90s or 80s band that they have arbitrarily decided is 'real metal')" 

Anyone EVER who claims to like Death or Black metal will be met with "name a band other than (insert band they've decided is "too mainstream)" 

Any girl who claims to like comic books will be met with random questions 

But anyways, removing the fact that most of these people target only the minorities, how much of that is warranted? 

Cause I mean, if you wear a Slayer shirt and don't listen to Slayer, you shouldn't wear a slayer shit, is that off base to say? 

But at the same time, I shouldn't be expected to have to know the exact fucking release date of reign of blood. 

Like, what's too far? 

If you can't name Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope, you're not a juggalo. But at the same time, if somebody doesn't know who Mike E Clark is, that don't mean shit, I mean right? 

What is just logic and pointing out that somebody obviously isn't a fan, and what is assigning just an arbitrary list of shit. 

On top of that, one suuuuuuuper common one I see in all genres is when they show pictures of artists without their name and just expect you to know who they are just by looking at them and then getting fucking triggered at you for claiming your a fan of them without being able to recognize them just by looking at them, I usually don't watch music videos, so how the fuck am I supposed to know, why do I need to study people's fucking faces.

And I mean, what's the appropriate response to somebody being a poser? 

What would you do if you realized somebody wearing a hatchet was obviously a poser? 

I mentioned the arbitrarily long list of metallica songs, and I mean, I can kinda get that, if someone can't name more than 2 songs, their not a fan. 

What's your thoughts? What's fair, what's bullshit?

I genuinely can't decide. 

And finally, the big question, are people who say their juggalos but like Twiztid and MNE and not ICP permitted to breath?
