And for the record nobody ever said they agree with everything pat says. I know I don’t.  I also know that I’ve NEVER laughed about joking on somebodies kids. That’s my one taboo. independence isn’t measured on success its strictly his label situation.. if icp or tech had a single blow up on the radio tomorrow they’d still be independent..

perhaps it could be measured by the fact that he used a subsidiary or Warner bros (potentially the least indie and one of the most main stream labels in existence) to get his album radio play/exposure, so personally while i am a fan on macklemore, i think the fact that he is pushing the whole I N D E P E N D E N T shtick is a joke, and a poorly presented one at that.

 

There is no real way to become ‘mainstream’ without selling your heart/soul/butthole to the majors. but lets applaud macklemore for making a good album, regardless of its billbaord status.

 

As for the people comparing icp to macklemore, your all fucking retards. seriously. Of course everyone on this site is going to favour icp. your all biased retarded morons. they are both talented artists but to compare them is like trying to compare babe ruth and lebron james. its just fucking stupid. they are both in the same industry (sports/hip hop) but on totally completely and utterly different playing fields with different rules and fans.
