ive heard it all before. certain brands put sugar in their cigarettes to attract kids blah blah blah.
i don’t really smoke anymore, just sporadically. but people who get all ansty about smoking piss me off. last i check, i was doing something perfectly legal and within my rights as an adult to do so.
But the reality is that the government will try to ‘reduce smoking’ while raising the prices so that when percentage of people do actually quit they retain the same revenue.
Well I noticed that menthol (especially Newport) and regular have a difference in price, regular being the cheaper of the two. For some reason.

when i do buy a pack (lasts me like 2 – 3 months) i buy peter jackson hybrids (which are the click menthols) are about 24ish dollars.
i dont realy every buy anything else unless its a click menthol. and unless i buy Benson and hedges its all about the saem price.
i know some people are work smoke rothamans because they are like 19 a pack. but they taste horrible.

bear in mind our average wage is higher than normal.
i think.
last year i made just short of 100K across 2 jobs both in ‘middle management’.
the average wage is like 60k a year i think in West aus.
i’m sure psyral will correct me if im wrong though lol.
i havent seen 5 bucks a pack since i was like 14 years old.

you hsould come live in australia. my job, workers (i work afternoons mind you) get paid starting at 32 bucks an hour. working up to about 39 bucks.
and we BUST ass during peak season too. over christmas i was working 70 hour weeks easily. the most i made in a week was close to 2000. that was over the easter break (we work public holidays). 75 bucks an hour for a public holiday.

The 16k actually let me live well tho. My girlfriend bringing in around 10k we had a 3 bedroom house to ourselves, lived comfortably, went to shows and the gathering (we sold a little bud but they profit of that was mostly just for our own pot habits). So when stuff doesn’t cost so much it evens out in a way.
